Air Vice Marshall Jacob B. Adigun , who until last week was the Chief of Accounts and Budget of the Nigerian Air Force is currently under house arrest for his role in the alleged arms procurement scandal .</p>

<a name="more"></a>Earlier we had reported that a certain AVM facing an embezzlement charge of N90m had been <a href="http://konnie-moments.blogspot.com/2016/02/21-billion-armsgate-ex-air-chief-eturns.html" target="_blank">granted conditional release</a>, part of a plea bargain, after refunding N66m to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The plea bargain required him to make a full refund to the EFCC within a specified time frame. A further arrest had been of another AVM implicated in the Dasukigate $2.1bn arms deal scandal.<br />
Today Prime News, reports that, AVM Adigun has been making frantic efforts to reach the Attorney General if the Federation to negotiate a soft landing.<br />
He has through his contacts undertaken to return five buildings out of the nine he acquired from the money traced to the $2.1 billion arms deal. But his offer has met a brick wall as a source close to the Attorney General was quoted as saying:<br />
<span style="font-size:large;"><i><span style="color:blue;">&#8220;It is inconceivable and illogical for someone who stole billions of tax payers monies meant for the protection of innocent lives to now think of getting a soft landing after returning about half of the ill gotten wealth&#8221;. &#8220;What does he take Nigerians for? <p>The EFCC has sealed property belonging to AVM Adigun including a N2.1bn block of 12 luxury flats, located in Ikoyi. Also sealed is another block of luxury flats in Victoria Island, Lagos worth N1.95bn and a parcel of land also located in Ikoyi worth N908m.</p>
<p>Apparently the plea bargain program has been extended to other air force personnel now being held in connection with the scandal.</p>
