Supporters of Tottenham and Arsenal were involved in violent clashes on the streets surrounding White Hart Lane, ahead of Saturday’s north London derby. The fixture has been hit by crowd trouble in recent seasons, but events spiralled out of control even before the game, as supporters gathered ahead of the 12:45 kickoff.
Police officers were forced to intervene as supporters clashed, with one supporter seen with blood gushing from a head wound, while others were knocked to the floor. Rival fans also taunted police and threw cans at horse mounted police, before officers began to engage as they looked to restore order.

The two sides met in one of most hotly-anticipated north London derbies of the Premier League era, with Spurs three points ahead of the Gunners as both pursue leaders Leicester and the title.
And ill-feeling has been growing between the rival supporters after incidents at both grounds in recent seasons, culminating in Arsenal fans ripping up hoardings and smashing seats after a Capital One Cup tie at White Hart Lane earlier this season, leading to the arrest of 10 supporters.
That was followed by Spurs fans appearing to trash toilets at the Emirates in a league fixture between the two in November.

Full time at White Hart Lane. It was dubbed as one of the matches of the season before it got under way, and it has not disappointed as Tottenham and Arsenal play out a highly entertaining 2-2 draw in this top-of-the-table clash. The Gunners took the lead against the run of play before the break through Aaron Ramsey, only for the game to turn on its head after the dismissal to Francis Coquelin, with Spurs going on to score two in quick succession with Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane getting on the scoresheet. Wenger’s men refused to be beaten though, and eventually got the incredibly vital equaliser through Alexis Sanchez. The title race continues! Thanks for joining us, see you next time!

Full-time at the Lane and a 2-2 draw probably favours Arsenal most of the two sides.
Though Leicester will be most pleased.
Huge opportunity for Claudio Ranieri’s side now against Watford later.

Fantastic challenge from Kevin Wimmer! Arsenal look like they might go on and win the game as Ramsey bulldozes his way through the middle, but before he can get the shot away, he is foiled by the Austrian, who comes in with a brilliant goal and game-saving tackle! Superb defending!

BT Sport pictures momentarily go down at the worst possible moment.
As the pictures come back, Ramsey is seen through on goal, but his effort is deflected out for a corner.
Only seconds left now.

Joel Campbell on for Ozil as Wenger senses the prospect of an unlikely winner here.
It’s been a disappointing performance from the German international.
Outside of Arsenal’s late first-half dominance, he hasn’t featured much at all.

Third and final change from Wenger here and it sees Ozil make his way off the pitch to be replaced by Joel Campbell, who was one of Arsenal’s better performers in the midweek defeat against Swansea. Four minutes of added time have been signaled by the referee – do we have a winner?!

OHHH ALMOST A HORROR MOMENT FOR GABRIEL! Alli makes his way down the left wing with authority and eventually finds himself outnumbered, deciding to smash a speculative cross into the box. There are no Spurs players in the middle, but they NEARLY get a goal all the same as the former Villarreal man slices his clerance just a yard over the top corner! Time seemed to stand still there! Still 2-2!

It seems a long time ago now, but here is how close Kane came to equalising before the hour mark.

Before this match, there was a lot of speculation as to how Ospina would play in place of the highly influential Petr Cech, who misses this match with a calf injury. The Colombian can be very proud of his performance today, and once again keeps Spurs at bay with a diving save to deny Eriksen, who was just looking to catch him out with a chip.

Alexis grabbed the equaliser and might’ve scored a winner here.
The Chilean led the break for Arsenal well, but failed to take on the shot as Spurs backed off.
His through ball couldn’t find a teammate, though Walker and Lloris confused each other to create panic inside the box.

On the other hand, Wenger would be absolutely delighted with a point at this time and introduces a defensive midfielder, Mathieu Flamini, in place of central striker, Danny Welbeck. The Gunners definitely looking to shut up shop for the last five minutes plus stoppage time.

Welbeck coming off for Arsenal, Flamini sent on to close this out for Arsenal and seal an excellent point in the circumstances.
Welbeck has worked tremendously hard here.
Wenger’s decision to start him over Walcott and Giroud has been justified.
