and surveyed adults generally – not likely voters or even the broader category of Americans who are registered to vote&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;ABC released historical numbers going back to 1984&comma; which showed President George H&period;W&period; Bush as the most disliked big-name White House hopeful&comma; registering 53 per cent at one point in 1992&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;It&&num;8217&semi;s unclear&comma; though&comma; how late in the political season that number was generated&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;An ABC spokesperson did not respond to a request to release numbers from 1980&comma; which Trump has recently claimed would show him in the statistical company of President Ronald Reagan&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;A Los Angeles Times poll from March 25 of that year found just 30 per cent of Americans had a favorable view of Reagan&period; ruling that the gap between Trump&&num;8217&semi;s &&num;8216&semi;favorable&&num;8217&semi; and &&num;8216&semi;unfavorable&&num;8217&semi; numbers have consistently been worse in the last year than Reagan&&num;8217&semi;s were in 1980&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Trump faces an easier hill-climb in the GOP primary season&comma; according to Thursday&&num;8217&semi;s ABC&sol;Post numbers&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Among Republicans only&comma; Trump scores 56 per cent favorable to 42 per cent unfavorable&period;Cruz&&num;8217&semi;s gap when only those in his own party are polled is 58-38 and Ohio Gov&period;
