<h5><strong>Kelly Ripa goes after Michael Strahan on live TV</strong></h5>
<p>First Michael Strahan shocked co-host Kelly Ripa with news that he&#8217;d be leaving “Live!” for a full-time job at “Good Morning America,” Now Ripa has gained strength in creating on-air akward moments for her co-host, daily. Ripa took an on-air swipe Friday at the twice-divorced Strahan.<br />
“There&#8217;s a great article in the paper, and I want to get your take on it &#8217;cause I don’t have a take on it, but I want yours,” Ripa said. “So, um, you&#8217;ve gotten divorced…”<br />
Strahan, for his part, didn&#8217;t appear thrilled as Ripa launched into an explanation of the news story about so-called &#8220;bird&#8217;s nest&#8221; custody arrangements. He blinked, flashed a deer-in-headlights stare at the camera, and stayed silent with a half-smile plastered on his face.<br />
Eventually, he managed a joke.<br />
“We talked about me locking my bedroom doors yesterday,” he said. “If I&#8217;m sharing a house with my ex &#8230; (and) she can still get in with a key at any point, I’m definitely locking the door.”<br />
The NFL Hall of Famer&#8217;s second marriage to Jean Muggli culminated in an acrimonious, highly publicized 2006 divorce after Muggli alleged that he&#8217;d cheated on her, abused her and ignored their twin baby girls. He was later engaged to Eddie Murphy&#8217;s model ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell, from 2008 to 2014. Michael&#8217;s first marriage to Wanda Hutchins ended in 1996 in sharp contrast to the relatively stable domestic fron for his co-host who went to Turks and Caicos last week for a 20th anniversary getaway with her husband, Mark Consuelos.</p>

<p>A day earlier, confronted by a wildlife expert holding a screaming armadillo in her face, the daytime TV veteran brought up her contract with the show, set to expire next year.<br />

<p>Her awkward dig came Thursday as wildlife expert Peter Gros held a screeching armadillo up to her face.<br />
Gros had asked said Ripa when she had something in her mouth. “Would you like a napkin?”<br />
A laughing Kelly said “I want to take him into contract negotiations with me!”<br />
Strahan then muttered an awkward “I mean, wow,”<br />
Friday marked the end of a dramatic two weeks at “Live!” that kicked off with Strahan announcing his departure and Ripa apparently throwing a “fit” behind the scenes before taking a few days break from the set<br />
She made a dramatic comeback to the set on on Tuesday, with a sweeping monologue about “respect in the workplace”. A few hours later, the network announced Strahan would be leaving May 13, four months earlier than planned.</p>
