<p class="mol-para-with-font">A mother killed her two daughters before she was gunned down by the police in in a standoff. The chilling incident occured in a quiet neighborhood of Houston, Texas.<br />
Christy Sheats, shot and killed her daughters Taylor, 22, and Madison, 17, following a domestic dispute that started inside the home on the 6000 block of Remson Hollow, but later spilled out onto the road on Friday.<br />
Christy Sheats, 42, was killed by a responding police officer after she refused to drop her gun. Madison was pronounced dead on the scene, while Taylor who was airlifted to a hospital she later died.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Police responding to a 911 call of &#8220;shots fired,&#8221; around 5pm on Friday night, found the two females, a teenager and a young adult shot and lying outside the home on <span class="mol-para-with-font">Remson Hollow Lane.<br />
</span>Their mother who was still holding a pistol refused to comply with directives to drop her weapon she was pointing, and was shot by one of the police officers.<br />
According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff&#8217;s Office, the younger victim, 17-year-old Madison was dead by the time police arrived on the scene. her sister Taylor, 22, was airlifted to the Texas Medical Center in Houston in critical condition on Friday, she died on Saturday.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, athough the Sheriff&#8217;s records show that deputies had been sent to the family home in the past on more than one occasion. &#8220;But as to why we were called here, I don&#8217;t know,&#8221; County Sheriff Troy Nehls, said. The police think &#8220;It was a family argument that turned into a shooting.&#8221; Nehls said &#8220;But we&#8217;re still trying to put the pieces together.&#8221;</p>

<p>So far, the police are yet to confirm if the shooting actually occured inside the family&#8217;s home or on the street where the bodies were found.<br />
Detectives said the woman&#8217;s husband was in the home at the time of the shooting and ran to the neighbor&#8217;s for help. The distraught husband who was not injured was taken to a local hospital for observation. A handgun was recovered from the scene and police are investigating if the mother fired at responding officers before she was shot.</p>

<h6><strong>Residents and neighbors in the quiet Houston surbub look at the scene in utter shock and horror</strong></h6>

<p>So far, n<span id="ext-gen136">eighbors in this quiet neighborhood have registered their shock at the incident. Austin Enke, who went to high school with one of the daughters, said he thought he heard fireworks at first.</span></p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;It&#8217;s crazy. The neighborhood has never seen this kind of thing before. It&#8217;s always quiet. This is surprising. They never showed any kind of thing that was wrong with them whatsoever.&#8217;<br />
In September 2015, Christy, a business manager at a laser tattoo removal clinic, posted a photo of her two daughters on Facebook. She wrote: &#8216;Happy Daughter&#8217;s Day to my two amazing, sweet, kind, beautiful, intelligent girls. I love and treasure you both more than you could ever possibly know.&#8217;</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Tributes poured in for Taylor on Facebook on Saturday, where friend Joanna Higgins wrote on their high school alumni page: &#8216;I&#8217;m in utter shock. She was so talented and had a heart of gold. God rest her soul and those mourning her loss.&#8217;<br />
Madison&#8217;s former teacher Whitney Mae Bruce wrote: &#8216;My heart is broken this morning to find that my sweet Madison Sheats lost her life. Always positive and smiling, Madison quickly became one of my favorite students four years ago while teaching for the first time in Katy.<br />
&#8216;A wonderful student/person/babysitter will be missed enormously. Please pray for her father.&#8217;</p>
