Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said in a release today, that Tartaglione, 49, has been charged with killing Martin Luna, Urbano Santiago, Miguel Luna and Hector Gutierrez in Chester, N.Y., in April as part of his involvement in a drug conspiracy.<br />
“While all murders tear at the fabric of our communities, when the alleged perpetrator of a gangland-style, quadruple homicide is a former police officer, that strikes at the heart of civilized society,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said in the release.<br />
“We hope that today&#8217;s arrest brings some measure of comfort to the victims&#8217; families and loved ones.”<br />

<p>Tartaglione allegedly shot the four men to death in the Liquid Lounge in Chester. At least two of his victims were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, officials said. The victims, have never been found.</p>

Tartaglione is indicted with five counts for conspiracy to distribute at least 5 kilograms of cocaine and &#8220;the senseless murder&#8221; of four men, which was part of that conspiracy, according to Bharara&#8217;s office.<br />
&#8220;While all murders tear at the fabric of our communities, when the alleged perpetrator of a gangland-style, quadruple homicide is a former police officer, that strikes at the heart of civilized society,&#8221; Bharara said in a statement.<br />
The former Briarcliff Manor police officer has been accused of executing the quadruple homicide in Orange County officials announced today.<br />
State police and the FBI converged on a property in Tartaglione&#8217;s neighborhood on Old Mountain Road in Otisville on Tuesday to search for the victims&#8217;remains.<br />
He could face the death penalty or life in prison without parole, officials said, if convicted.</p>
