February 3&comma; at Sammy&&num;8217&semi;s Grill&comma; in Baton Rouge&comma;during the popular early evening rush hour&period; Kaneitra Johnson&comma; a young&comma; black IT worker shared her traumatic experience of public humiliation&comma; in a public Facebook post&comma; after&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The contentious moment occurred when Erwin&comma; formerly assistant city prosecutor in Baton Rouge and assistant district attorney allegedly&comma; ticked off a taxi driver for giving up his seat to a &&num;8216&semi;n&ast;&ast;&ast;&ast;r &lbrack;Johnson&rsqb;&&num;8217&semi;&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Recounting the incident&comma; Johnson said there was a two-hour wait for her party to be seated&comma; later identified as judge Erwin&comma; telling the taxi driver&colon; &&num;8216&semi;You never give up your seat for a n&ast;&ast;&ast;&ast;&ast;&period;&&num;8217&semi;<br &sol;>&NewLine;For emphasis&comma; the speaker then added&colon; &&num;8216&semi;You should have made her get her fat n&ast;&ast;&ast;&ast;&ast; a&ast;&ast; up&period;&&num;8217&semi;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Ms Johnson&comma; wrote on Facebook&colon; &&num;8220&semi;I&&num;8217&semi;ve heard stories about people spewing out hatred but never been the person being spewed upon&period; I felt so low&comma; embarrassed&comma; unwanted&comma; out of place&&num;8230&semi; claimed they did not hear the argument and were unable to confirm whether Erwin really did direct racial slurs at Johnson&comma;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;<p class&equals;"mol-para-with-font">&&num;8216&semi;There was a disagreement between patrons&comma; Mike McClanahan&comma; president of the Baton Rouge chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People&comma; told the Rogue Collection&colon; &&num;8216&semi;The Baton Rouge Branch of the NAACP take these allegations very serious&period; We expect our judicial system to be fair and impartial&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8216&semi;This type of behavior by one so entrusted is unacceptable and will not be tolerated&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8216&semi;We are calling upon the Chief Judge of the 19th JDC and the State Judicial Commission to launch a full&comma; fair and complete investigation&period; If these allegations are held to be true&comma; we are demanding that Judge Erwin be removed from the bench and a close scrutiny of all his cases involving people of color be had where his sole discretion was at hand&period;
