<p>A Texas father of three who disappeared nearly two weeks ago was found living more than a thousand miles away in Ohio so he could be with someone he met online.<br />
Lee Arms hadn’t been seen since Super Bowl Sunday, his silver Ford Fusion discovered abandoned near Loop 1604 and Interstate 10 in the San Antonio area, <a href="http://news4sanantonio.com/news/local/bcso-missing-man-made-his-own-decision-to-leave">WOAI-TV </a>reported.<br />
44-year-old Arms, a father of three, was last seen at about 5:30 p.m. Super Bowl Sunday in his silver Ford Fusion, which was abandoned near Loop 1604 and Interstate 10. The car was still running with the emergency flashers on. Authorities also found his wallet and other belongings at the scene.<br />
Arms of Falls City, Texas, worked the night shift at a UPS facility in San Antonio Sunday through Thursday. Family, friends, and volunteers started the search when he never showed up for work.<br />
His disappearance, however, was not caused by an accident or malicious incident, police said, “but the result of his own decision to leave.”<br />
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office: “He wanted to escape his life out there and his situation,” Bath Township Police Chief Michael McNeely told the <a href="http://www.ohio.com/news/local/missing-texas-father-who-vanished-under-mysterious-circumstances-found-living-in-northeast-ohio-1.748495">Akron Beacon Journal.</a></p>

<p>Working off a tip, detectives were able to locate Arms living more than 1,400 miles away because he “met somebody online.”<br />
The 44-year-old father of three typically drove from his home in Falls City to San Antonio where he works the night shift at a UPS Facility Sunday through Thursday.<br />
The day Arms disappeared, everything seemed normal. He called his father, Walter, as he drove to work, told him he’d reached the Interstate and that he’d phone tomorrow.<br />
“And he told me, ‘Dad, I love you,’ and I told him the same thing,” Walter Arms told the news station.<br />
Family, friends and volunteers joined local law enforcement and the Heidi Search Center to look for the missing father.<br />
Because the case began making national headlines, Heidi Search Center executive director Dottie Laster said the organization began receiving calls and tips from out of state. One of the calls led investigators to Arms, who was found safe and sound in Ohio the morning of Feb. 16.</p>

<p>“I’ve worked human trafficking and missing persons for 14 years and this is a very rare incident,” Laster said. “This is the first time I’ve actually had it happen.”<br />
Laster also noted there is still the question of whether or not Arms’ should be held responsible for the time spent trying to locate him.<br />
“If you’re a taxpayer you may have questions whether he should pay for the expense of the county and the Heidi Search Center,” she said.<br />
While his family members are trying to process everything and heal from their&#8217; difficult experience&#8217;, they thanked everyone for their efforts to find Arms.<br />
“We ask that you keep our families in your prayers and please respect our request for privacy as the family begins to heal from this difficult experience,”<a href="https://www.facebook.com/Finding-Lee-Arms-224594298012426/">it reads</a>. “Thank you again.”<br />
The Bexar County Sheriff&#8217;s Office says no charges have been filed against Arms and the missing persons case is closed, but his actions are being reviewed.</p>
