<article id="ra-body">A janitor fired from a hospital in New York returned for retribution. When Leon Morris was let go from his job as a janitor at Staten Island hospital, he blamed his superiors for the incident. On Sunday 55-year-old Morris showed up there with a metal baseball bat and cracked a former supervisor’s skull, police sources said.<br />
The ex-janitor was let go from Staten Island University Hospital a few days ago and returned about 5 p.m. Sunday, intent on settling the scores<br />
The sources said he went to the second floor and attacked Giovanna Palumbo, 58, who was one of his supervisors. Morris believed she had him fired, it is alleged. The victim is expected to survive.<br />
The hospital acknowledged the attack Sunday night and said Palumbo was in stable condition.<br />
Morris has been charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. He is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.</p>
