A Florida woman accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend Tuesday told police “don’t worry” about his blood-soaked body.
Police arrived to the Orlando apartment on Tuesday night to find Everett Leslie Humble, 63, bloody and unresponsive on the porch, the Orlando Sentinel reported. He had been shot multiple times and was declared dead at the scene.
His girlfriend, Paula Lynn Hobbs, was at the apartment when police arrived and wouldn’t comply with officers. According to police, when asked what happened, Hobbs told them “don’t worry about it.”
Hobbs, 51, then reportedly locked herself inside the apartment with her live-in boyfriend’s body. Police said she eventually surrendered and allowed them inside the home.
“If you tell me he is dead, I will tell you why I did it.” Hobbs said, according to the police report.

A neighbour spotted the lifeless form of the victim on the balcony and called police

Evertt Leslie Humble, 63, had been shot multiple times and was declared dead inside the home on Cinderlane Parkway in the Rosemont area, Orlando police said.
A passerby had spotted him bloody and lifeless, lying on his back on the couple’s porch and called 911. Hobbs who was at the scene when officers responded, initially dodged an officer’s questions about what was going on, saying “don’t worry about it,” she reportedly, said. The officer spotted Humble’s body and ordered Hobbs to step away. Quoting the arrest affidavit, WPXI reports that detectives found splattered blood and a .22-caliber handgun in the bottom drawer of a bedroom dresser, while searching the apartment.
Police arrested Hobbs and booked her at Orange County Jail, where she is being held without bail. She has been charged with first-degree murder.
Hobbs it turns out, is no stranger to law enforcement, records show. the ex-con has been to state prison at least three times and had a warrant out for her arrest stemming from a domestic violence case.
