<div class="splitLeft">A Michigan couple and their teenage daughter were arrested after throwing an alcohol-fuelled party for high schools students.<br />
Geoffrey Boylan, 39, not only provided alcohol to his teenage daughter&#8217;s friends, but also had sexual relations with a 16-year-old girl at the party in his Williamsburg, Michigan, home, on March, 3.<br />
Boylan, his wife, Duanne Denise Boylan, 37, and their daughter,18-year-old Hannah Boylan, were arrested on Tuesday for supplying mixed drinks and beer to several underage students at the party.<br />
Boylan, one time assistant football coach for Elk Rapids Schools, will not be charged with criminal sexual misconduct because the 16-year-old girl was of age, by Michigan law.<br />

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;There&#8217;s a difference between something that&#8217;s morally or ethically wrong and something that violates the criminal law,&#8217; Grand Traverse County Prosecutor Bob Cooney told the <a class="" href="http://www.record-eagle.com/news/local_news/volunteer-coach-arrested/article_c4e960a4-19c7-5418-aebc-a71f4533dd82.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Record-Eagle</a>.<br />
&#8216;Given the age difference between the two and the circumstances of this case, I certainly can&#8217;t condone what happened but at the same time, it did not violate criminal law,&#8217; he added,</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">In the lead up to the party, Hannah Boylan collected money from her classmates, which her parents used to supply her and her friends with pizza and beer, according to police reports.<br />
The police reports say that students smoked marijuana, played drinking games and slept over at the Boylans&#8217; home.<br />
Boylan and his wife were charged on Wednesday with furnishing alcohol to minors. Duanne was also charged with allowing minors to consume alcohol in her home.<br />
Their daughter faces one count of each charge.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The misdemeanor charges could mean a sentencing of up to 60 days each with fines up to $1,000, for all three Boylans.<br />
Following the party in March, Boylan maintained that he did not throw the party for the underage students.<br />
&#8216;I did not (have a party),&#8217; Geoffrey Boylan said in March after learning of the accusations. &#8216;There was a party at my house that my child had.&#8217;<br />
He admitted to authorities that he had sexual relations with a 16-year-old girl who he spotted on the couch in the early hours of the morning following the party.<br />
He told investigators that she performed oral sex on him before telling her it &#8216;wasn&#8217;t right&#8217;, stopping the encounter and returning to his bedroom.<br />
The girl told police that the encounter was consensual, but said it likely would not have happened if she had been sober.<br />
Boylan told police that he initially didn&#8217;t tell anyone about the incident because he was &#8216;afraid of what might happen&#8217;.<br />
The volunteer coach was asked not to return to his position as an assistant football coach at Elk Rapids Schools, with District Superintendent Stephen Prissel stating that Boylan &#8216;has no business being around kids&#8217;.<br />
&#8216;As long as I&#8217;m in the district, I&#8217;d never recommend any person like that for any type of recommendation to the board,&#8217; Prissel said</p>
