The blood soaked suspect who walked into a grocery store in Estacada, Oregon, holding a knife and carrying a severed head on Mother’s Day has been identified.
The suspect, 36-year-old Joshua Lee Webb, who stabbed a store employee on Sunday before he was overpowered has been arrested for the stabbing and for killing his mother, 59-year-old Tina Marie Webb, at their home about 10 miles away before the incident at the grocery store.
Sunday’s grisly episode first came to light when the man walked into the Estacada Thriftway Harvest Market around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon,.
A 911 caller told deputies the man walked into Harvest Market Thriftway on S Broadway around 2:15 p.m. He was reportedly “covered in blood” and holding “a knife and what looked like a human head.”

Once inside the store, the suspect stabbed an employee, who was flown to Emanuel Legacy Medical Center with critical injuries. Two store employees then tackled the suspect and held him down until police arrived.
Police said Monday that Joshua Webb was in a “catatonic state” after he was subdued by other workers at the store.
He was taken into custody and then taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
The suspect’s car which appeared to have been parked in a hurry, was still running with its windshield wipers on long after his arrest.
About a quarter of an hour after the attack, another caller told 911 operators about finding a woman who appeared to be dead inside a home on the 25000 block of Elwood Drive in Colton, about 10 miles away from the store.
Deputies arrived at the home Webb share with his mother and located the body, which had been decapitated.
Investigators determined the woman died at the Elwood Road home, and that the same man is a suspect in her homicide and in the Estacada stabbing.
Deputies said that they believed there was no additional threat to the public. Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Nate Thompson said the suspect will likely be released from the hospital and taken to jail Monday afternoon.
