<p>On February 17, Pennsylvania State Police arrested Eric Popejoy on felony counts of rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility, child pornography and failure to register with state police as a sex offender.</p>

<p class="author-section byline-plain">The Charge sheet stated that his 50-year-old girlfriend, Marion Keithline was also arrested after police say she allowed live-in boyfriend Popejoy, who is a registered sex offender, to rape a young girl in her care for more than a year.<br />
Investigators with the State Police say Keithline did nothing to stop Popejoy, from abusing a 7-year-old girl between June 2015 and July 2016.<br />
Keithline, of Overfield Township, was charged with felony reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and three counts of corruption of minors.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">According to a criminal complaint viewed by<a class="" href="http://thetimes-tribune.com/news/police-lake-winola-woman-allowed-7-year-old-to-have-contact-with-megan-s-law-offender-1.2196555" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> The Times Tribune</a>, Keithline and Popejoy hooked up in 2015 on the dating site DateHookup and she later moved in with him in Florida. Popejoy eventually relocated to Pennsylvania to live with Keithline in her mobile home on Maple Lane in Overfield Township.<br />
In mid-February, State Police arrested Popejoy who had failed to register with State police in Pennsylvania as a sex offender and charged him with counts of felony rape, corruption of minors, and child pornography .<br />
Court records state that the young girl in Keithline&#8217;s care complained to her and other adults that Popejoy had raped her, but no one reported the matter to authorities.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Court documents also reveal that Keithline and Popejoy would go on Craigslist trawling for sexual partners and would host orgies at the Maple Lane residence while the 7-year-old girl was present, according to the station <a class="" href="http://wnep.com/2017/05/22/woman-charged-with-allowing-sexual-assault-of-child/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WNEP 16.<br />
</a>In addition to having the child in physical proximity to child abuser, the criminal complaint alleges Keithline had an old smartphone that the child occasionally used to play games.<br />
State police who later examined the phone discovered sexually explicit photos on it — either self shots of Popejoy and Keithline, or images of others acquired by private messaging.</p>

<p class="">In a separate matter, Marion Keithline will be arraigned on June 2 on misdemeanor charges stemming from giving authorities a report in January that falsely incriminated another person.<br />
On her latest charges, Keithline is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David Plummer on Tuesday. She is being held at Wyoming County Correctional Facility on $15,000 bail.<br />
Popejoy faces multiple sexual assault charges, including child rape for an alleged incident that happened in July, and is set to be arraigned next month in Wyoming County Court. He has been jailed since February on $1million bail pending his arraignment on June 2.</p>
