“Ms. Noel, you remarried in September 2014, correct?” asked Assistant District Attorney Emily Dean on cross-examination of Alishia Noel-Murray who took the stand in her defense on Tuesday.
Noel-Murray, 29, admitted that less than a year after her husband Omar Murray was gunned down inside their 204 Lott Ave. house, she started dating another man and tied the knot the following year.
“Did you take out any insurance policies on him (your new husband)?” Dean asked as Noel-Murray confirmed she did before the judge sustained her attorney’s objection.
In Feb. 2013, Noel-Murray allegedly confided in her lover Dameon Lovell, that she needed Murray killed in order to cash in on three insurance policies and clear up her debts.
Lovell, 33, testified against Noel-Murray in Brooklyn Supreme Court, saying that he brokered a deal with Kirk Portious to pay him $3500 to complete the job.

While Alishia Noel-Murray faces life in prison for the murder if convicted, Kirk Portious is also on trial, with a separate jury.
Prosecutor Emily dean in her opening arguments Monday, had told the court that  Noel-Murray, who had a 10-month-old son with her husband Omar when he was killed  had grown tired of her husband and was having financial difficulties.
Once she decided that murder was the solution to both problems, hatched several plots to be rid of him, Dean said.

First, Noel-Murray tried to poison her iron-worker husband in October of 2012, but he recovered after a trip to the hospital,she then her lover, Dameon Lovell, urging him on to find a hitman for hire to kill her husband, according to the prosecution.
After one attempted hit fell through when the gunman missed Murray, his wife and Lovell hired Kirk Portious to carry out the murder for $3,500.
Appearing for the prosecution Lovell denied he was the mastermind of the plot:“That’s not what I do,” said Lovell, who admitted he had other lovers while his wife was pregnant with his fourth child.
The erstwhile lover struck a plea deal admitting guilt to second-degree murder in exchange for a sentence of 15 years to life.
Lovell implicated Noel-Murray testifying in court that: “She asked if I know anyone to have Omar killed, due to her having problems with car payments and a lien on the house,” said Lovell, who was also married at the time.
Noel-Murray told Lovell that the life insurance policies she had out on Murray would be large enough to pay off her Lott Ave. home and each of their cars, buy another house and help him [Lovell], open his own mechanic shop, he said.
“I suggested for her to get a divorce, but she said it wasn’t that easy because there were too many bills,” Lovell said.
For Noel-Murray, the prosecution said, the anticipated jackpot was almost $900,000 from three separate policies.

Portious, If convicted, faces 25 years to life in prison.
Noel-Murray repeatedly denied during the four-hour testimony that she was involved with the murder, was in a financial bind, owed her mother thousands of dollars and the extent of her relationship with Lovell.
“I asked her to give me $500 a month to clear up the debt and she gave me nothing,” said Noel-Murray’s mother Patricia Noel as the prosecutor’s rebuttal witness.
Noel-Murray admitted she was angry and hurt with Murray when she caught him lying, cheating with prostitutes and having another child months before they got married.
If convicted, Noel-Murray faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
