<article id="ra-body">Police in Florida said a gang of Six teenage boys, including one who believes he&#8217;s &#8220;Scarface,&#8221; stole a Porsche, two handguns and $200,000 in cash hen they burglarized a home on April 27.<br />
The suspects, all between 14 and 16, knocked on doors in the upscale North Hutchinson Island and entered a home when no one answered.<br />
Homeowner, Brett Browning, arrived to find his garage door open and his $50,000 Porsche Cayman gone. In addition, his safe with $200,000 was missing along with guns and jewelry.<br />
&#8220;It&#8217;s clear through the interviews with these thugs that they intentionally targeted our community, searched out a house in an affluent neighborhood and stole their life savings,&#8221; said St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara.<br />
According to the <a href="http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/article158343434.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Miami Herald</a> Michael Bush, 14, Joshua Sargeant, 14, Rural Scott, 15, Walter Walker, 16, Shomari Smith, 14 and Jeremiah Laplace, 15, were arrested on charges including armed burglary and grand theft. According to the sheriff’s office, detectives interviewed all six teenagers while in custody for other crimes.<br />
All but one teen confessed to the Marina Drive burglary.<br />
Bush, Sargeant, Scott, Walker, Smith and Laplace were all hit with multiple charges, including grand theft, and were arrested Monday after a two-month investigation.<br />
The 14-year-old Sargeant, who &#8220;thinks he&#8217;s Scarface,&#8221; from the Al Pacino movie, according to a police report obtained by the Herald, is the only one of the six who did not confess to the burglary.</p>

<p>In his narrative, one of the teen suspects, he told police. 15-year-old Jeremiah Laplace, told police that while in a Pompano Beach motel, he decided to “hit up a house north near Orlando” with “his boys.”<br />
They drove to Marina Drive in a stolen Hyundai Santa Fe and knocked on several houses until they found one where no one was home, Laplace told police.<br />
Michael Bush, 14, entered through an unlocked back door and took the safe from the kitchen, according to a police report.<br />
Joshua Sargeant, 14, took a loaded pistol and revolver off a table in the living room.<br />
The teenagers said they all met at the gas station, where Bush broke into the safe with a crowbar and divvied up the money.</p>

<p>The Jeremiah Laplace confessed he used stolen money to buy autos for himself and his mom. Laplace told cops he used the cash to buy a Dodge Challenger Helicat for his mother, a Mercedes C300 for himself, a gold chain, gold bracelet and permanent gold teeth. He also gave his mother $40,000 cash, he told police.<br />
Another member of the teen gang Rural Scott,15, told police he did not enter the house because he’d “already been through this” and he called his mother to tell her.<br />
He was wearing ankle monitor on the day of the burglary. Scott was the passenger in the stolen Porsche, which Smith drove to a Fort Pierce Marathon Gas Station.<br />
According to police, the gang of youth burglars committed similar thefts in Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.<br />
Commending his men for cracking the case, Sheriff Mascara said: &#8220;Over the course of the last two months, the thorough work of our detectives and crime scene technicians have led us to identify these six individuals and their extensive history of similar crimes throughout the South Florida region&#8221;.<br />
&#8220;The investigation would not have been such a success without the teamwork of law enforcement from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Delray Beach Police and Fort Lauderdale Police all trying to track and arrest this group of thieves.&#8221;<br />
All six teen suspects are being held at the St. Lucie County Jail, Fla.</p>
