<article id="ra-body">Actress Stevie Ryan, whose popular internet parodies and viral videos ultimately landed her a TV series on VH1, has died in an apparent suicide, she was aged 33.<br />
Ryan was found dead on Saturday, June 31, with a report on the Los Angeles Coroner&#8217;s Office&#8217;s website listing her cause of death as a suicide by hanging at her home.<br />
The actress rose to fame during the late 2000s thanks to her wide collection of YouTube sketches, in which she&#8217;d often impersonate stars like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Jamie Lynn Spears and Amy Winehouse.<br />
She also created her own characters for videos, such as a 15-year-old troublemaker named Katrina, as well as a &#8220;homegirl&#8221; named Little Loca.<br />
Her comedy sketches typically racked up over 100,000 views and occasionally even soared into the millions, with one particularly watched Winehouse spoof eclipsing the 6 million viewers mark.</p>

<p>&#8220;It literally was just growing and growing,&#8221; Ryan told <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/stevie-tv-vh1-stevie-ryan-kim-kardashian-296714" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Hollywood Reporter</a>in 2012 of her blossoming viewership. &#8220;And I just became so obsessed with all of it.”<br />
Ryan&#8217;s viral success prompted VH1 to give her a TV series called &#8220;Stevie TV,&#8221; which premiered in 2013 and once again focused on her parodying A-listers while incorporating absurdist original characters as well.<br />
The show last two seasons comprised of a total of 14 episodes before it was canceled in 2014.<br />
Ryan originally moved from her hometown of Victorville in Southern California to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.<br />
In addition to her sketch comedy success, Ryan co-hosted the Brody Jenner series &#8220;Sex with Brody&#8221; on E! Network and hosted a podcast called &#8220;Mentally Ch(ill),&#8221; with her final episode taking place last week. The episode was a “podcast about depression” .</p>

Her final tweet came the day before her death and served as a tribute to her late grandfather.<br />
&#8220;The man of my dreams will now only be in my dreams,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;I&#8217;ll miss you everyday, forever. I love you my Pa.&#8221;<br />
In that last episode of &#8220;Mentally Ch(ill),&#8221; released just two days before Ryan’s death, she revealed that her grandfather died Thursday.</p>

<p>“I’m just worried that this is going to send me into a deeper depression,” she explained. During the episode, Ryan and co-host Kristen Carney also discussed suicide.</p>
