The 31-year-old woman, identified as Jennifer Londono, vanished June 25 from Union City, New Jersey. Police in New York suspect that the two female body parts that washed up last week in Brooklyn and Manhattan shorelines belong to the young woman.
On June 27, a womanā€™s torso from the waist to her knees was found by a couple walking their dog in the Red Hook Channel off the coast of Brooklyn.
Her torso was tattooed with a word written in ancient sanskrit.
After the victimā€™s mother spotted media images of the tattoo, which translated means ā€œLilyā€ or ā€œLilyann,ā€ she went to the 76th Precinct in Brooklyn and told them her daughter had that word tattooed on her right hip.

The tattoo was a tribute to the womanā€™s aunt.
On Saturday, a woman jogging near the 79th St. Boat Basin on the Upper West Side spotted a partial leg and foot with pink-painted toenails.
Although authorities in New York officially said they are awaiting DNA test results before positively identifying her, family and friends are convinced the torso that washed up off Brooklyn and a leg found on the Manhattan side of the Hudson River two days later belonged to Jennifer Londono.
Bergen County spokeswoman Maureen Parenta said Monday that they do not have information for release on the case. Same as theĀ city Medical Examinerā€™s office, who said anĀ autopsy of the body parts is still pending: ā€œWe are investigating, but the cause and manner are pending further studies,ā€ according to the ME’s spokesperson, Julie Bolcer.

Londono reportedly used her life savings to open Luna Lounge, on Armory Street, which had its grand opening on June 8.
According to her mother,Ā Jennifer Londono from Englewood, New Jersey went missing last Sunday after closing up the bar.
Sources said that after the mom, accompanied by Londonoā€™s boyfriend, went to the precinct, the NYPD sent K9 units to look for blood traces in places that the woman frequented.
The dogs searched the bar, her momā€™s car, which the boyfriend had been using, and the boyfriendā€™s apartment, sources said.

The dog did not find traces of blood in the car, but did find traces in the apartmentā€™s bathtub, sources said.
ā€œItā€™s looking like the investigation is turning toward the boyfriend,ā€ a police source said.
A friend of the woman, identified only as Maria, posted an emotional message about her.
ā€œI didn’t want this to be true, and deep inside Iā€™m hoping they tell me it was someone else and I’m still waiting,ā€ she wrote on Instagram. ā€œI’m never speechless but I still can’t get wrapped what was done to you. Nobody deserves what happens and specially you. I’m full of emotions and I’m sick to my stomach. You will get justice baby girl.ā€
