<p class="mol-para-with-font">A Michigan woman has been found guilty of murdering her husband in a crime witnessed only by their family pet, a loquacious African grey parrot named bud.<br />
Glenna Duram, 49, was convicted of first-degree murder in a Michigan courtroom Wednesday over the death of her husband, 45-year-old Martin Duram.<br />
The 49-year-old had been <a href="http://konniemoments.com/2016/06/04/wife-suspected-of-having-shot-husband-after-pet-parrot-says-dont-f-ing-shoot-in-husbands-voice-on-a-video-that-the-family-took-several-weeks-after-the-shooting-of/">accused of shooting her husband five times</a>, before turning the gun on herself in a failed suicide attempt at their home in Newaygo County.<br />
The trial lasted a total of 10 days, with defense lawyers having a list of her medications admitted to evidence during its final stages with the hope of convincing the jury the defendant was not in her right mind at the time of the shooting.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The attempt was unsuccessful, and Duram was found guilty after about eight hours of deliberating by the jury, <a class="" href="http://fox17online.com/2017/07/18/jury-deliberating-in-newaygo-county-murder-case/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Fox17</a> reports. Showing no emotion through the trial, Glenna Duram lost her composure after the verdict was handed down, she appeared to make a gesture of some sort and mouthed something after the verdict was given.<br />
Martin Duram’s pet parrot, Bud, was the only witness to the murder, had outed the suspect to the family weeks after martin&#8217;s death, but the defense successfully contested the inclusion of the bird on the list of witnesses called to testify during the trial.<br />
Bud still had an impact on the verdict as Martin Duram&#8217;s ex-wife, Christina Keller, who took Bud in after the murder, said the parrot overheard Martin begging for his life before being shot.<br />
Keller said Bud repeatedly said, &#8216;Don’t f***ing shoot&#8217; while mimicking his former owner&#8217;s voice, which the ex-wife said was the bird replaying the final words he heard from Martin Duram on the night he was shot.<br />
Keller made a video recording of Bud saying the incriminating words and passed the tape on to other family members, including his parents, Lilian and Charles Duram.</p>

&#8216;It just isn&#8217;t good; just isn&#8217;t good. Two years is a long time to wait for justice,&#8217; she told Fox17.<br />
&#8216;To sit there and watch her be emotionless&#8230; kind of hurt too.<br />
&#8216;I feel hurt that both families had to go through this, ‘cause we both used to be close and go camping together.&#8217;<br />
Glenna Duram will be sentenced on August 28 and faces life in prison.</p>
