<p>An Arkansas man has been charged with bestiality after police say he was recorded on surveillance camera repeatedly having sex with a family&#8217;s pet donkey.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Everett Lee Compton, 49, was arrested and taken into custody after Emert and Joyce Whitaker called 911 to report that a stranger was on their Siloam Springs property engaging in sexual activity with one of their two female donkeys.<br />
The Whitakers said they noticed that someone had been harassing their pets for the last three years so they posted signs around their property warning people against trespassing and feeding the donkeys.<br />
The couple also put up a game camera, which recorded an unknown person at 1:30 a.m. May 27 and June 4 placing a bag over a donkey&#8217;s head and on both occasions the man is seen behind the donkey, according to the probable cause affidavit.<br />
According to the affidavit, the photographs taken at 11:30 p.m July 5 and July 6 showed the suspect feeding the donkeys from bread bags and then he placed a bag over one donkey&#8217;s head and then went behind the donkey.<br />
After reporting to authorities on July 16 the presence of a man trespassing and having sex with one of the donkeys. Cops found the suspect hiding in nearby bushes a day later. The suspect cofessed after a police officer informed him that there were surveillance cameras installed on the property and that he was planning to review the footage.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The Whitakers have recently installed game cameras on their land after repeatedly finding evidence that someone had been coming onto their property and harassing their animals at night over the past three years, reported the <a class="" href="http://www.nwaonline.com/news/2017/aug/02/siloam-springs-man-suspected-of-having-/?news-arkansas-nwa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette.</a></p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">On three separate occasions, in May, June and early July, the cameras caught a man, believed to be Compton, feeding the Whitakers’ donkeys bread, then covering their eyes with a shirt, standing behind them and pressing his pelvis against the animals’ rear, according to the document.<br />
The family had turned all the photos over to police and posted ‘No Trespassing’ and ‘No Feeding’ signs on their property.<br />
Then at around 1.30am on July 16, when Whitakers noticed that someone once again entered the donkeys’ enclosure, they called police to come and arrest the suspect.<br />
Compton promised the officer to seek professional help if he did not charge him with bestiality, but his pleas fell on deaf ears.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Compton was booked into the Benton County Jail on four counts of bestiality, four counts of criminal trespassing, and five counts of cruelty to animals. His bond has been set at $5,000.<br />
One of the Whitakers&#8217; pet donkeys was pregnant at the time of the incidents and ended up losing its foal, which the owners have attributed to the sexual abuse allegedly inflicted by Compton.<br />
Lee Compton is due back in court for his arraignment on September 11.</p>
