<p>Security footage from a local nightclub and a college dormitory has cleared a University of California student of rape.<br />
University of Southern California student Armaan Karim Premjee had been named in an on campus sexual assault case and was fighting to clear his name.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Premjee, 20, was accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old fellow student in her dorm room after meeting at Banditos Taco &; Tequila in Los Angeles on April 1.<br />
However, a review of the security footage showed her kissing Premjee, leading him on. At a point she grabs his arm and leads him out of the nightclub. Outside the club, with his back turned, she is observed making obscene sexual gestures, clearly signalling her intentions to the another female, presumably an acquaintance.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Premjee, who had maintained his innocence since being accused, said the woman, who has not been named, wanted to leave the club where they met and have sex with him.<br />

She then makes a sexual gesture to a friend &#8211; poking a finger through a circle made with her hand &#8211; behind his back.<br />
The followup security footage from her dormitory caught her signing him in.<br />
Premjee was charged in May with rape by use of drugs and sexual penetration by a foreign object. Prosecutors said the woman was too drunk to give consent.</p>

After seeing the video, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge dismissed the case on Tuesday saying: &#8216;I believe there was consent. There is a very strong indication that the alleged victim in this case was the initiator.&#8217;<br />
USC is reportedly conducting its own investigation and Premjee could still be expelled.</p>
