A man is suing his former Tinder date for allegedly spreading false rumors online that he was a rapist after they broke up.
Joseph Lazarus, 32, met the woman back in 2014 in Houston, Texas after they matched on Tinder.
When they broke up after three months, Lazarus claims the woman started sending him threatening text messages: ‘You’re revolting – like a blemish on my otherwise perfect skin,’ she allegedly wrote in one message.

Joseph Lazarus is suing his former Tinder date for allegedly spreading false rumors online that he was a rapist after they broke up in Houston, Texas in 2014

She also allegedly demanded that he pay her $10,000 or she would tell people he raped her.
‘Pay money and I’ll stop,’ she is accused of messaging him.
He filed a lawsuit against her on Wednesday seeking $200,000 in damages.
Lazarus who is a current Marine Reserve, claims in the lawsuit that his ex-girlfriend ruined his reputation and cost him his job after she started spreading false rumors about him online.
His employer let him go last year from his job at a high end automobile broker after his boss saw posts about him online that labeled him as ‘trash’ .

The posts, which appeared on a user-submitted gossip site thedirty.com, called Lazarus ‘creepy’ and someone who ‘would have sex/rape fat chicks just to amuse his friends.’
The woman also allegedly created fake social media profiles to target him.
‘She targeted the organization my sister was working for and sent them messages of me being a child molester, a rapist, a murderer,’ he told ABC 13.
‘I didn’t think it could ever affect me because it was false.
‘I just want to be left alone. I just want to be able to live my life.’
