Aramazd Andressian Sr. killed the child on or about April 21, authorities said. Cops found him unconscious in a South Pasadena park shortly after the boy vanished.
At the emotional sentencing in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the boy’s mother confronted Andressian through tears – and wished him an eternity of pain.
“I hope you relive the image of murdering my baby every day of your insignificant life,” grieving mom Ana Estevez said.
“May your dark soul burn in eternal hell,” she said.
Andressian remained silent throughout the tense hearing.
“I pity you. You are a failure as a father. You are a failure as a man. You are a failure as a human being,” Estevez continued, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Andressian, 35, only confessed to the unspeakable crime after his son’s remains were found June 30 near Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara County.

Andressian smothered the boy with a child’s jacket in his car about an hour after they arrived in Santa Barbara, Sheriff’s Detective Louie Aguilera said following the hearing Wednesday.
Aguilera’s description of the slaying was the first time investigators divulged how the boy died.
Authorities previously said Andressian tried to kill himself after murdering the boy. His BMW had been doused in gasoline and he ingested prescription pills before authorities found him knocked out in the park.
Andressian’s defense lawyer said his client pleaded guilty to first degree murder last month in part to avoid more serious charges that could have carried the death penalty.
“There are no words to justify what happened. My client did eventually do the right thing,” lawyer Ambrosio Rodriguez said, according to The Times.
The young boy’s mysterious disappearance touched off national headlines back in April and led to a massive search effort with hundreds of volunteers and cadaver dogs.

Court records show he and Estevez were locked in an acrimonious divorce.
Andressian alleged that Estevez used profanity and had talked of taking the boy to Cuba, according to The Times.
He also suggested Estevez’s father practiced Santeria and once sacrificed a rooster in front of the child.
Estevez, meanwhile, argued that Andressian lied about being a stay-at-home dad because it was her mother and father who took care of the boy while she worked to support the family.
She said Wednesday she’ll never recover from Andressian’s evil act.
“There is no real pain, just an incomprehensible deadness. Like my son, I, too, have died,” Estevez said.

Estevez, an elementary school principal, placed blame on the court system and the L.A. County Department of Child and Family Services in her child’s death.
She had requested sole custody of the child she said, and it had been denied. She had also reported that the child had been kicked on his bottom, pinched on the cheeks and was yelled at and told he was a bad boy by his father, yet social workers did nothing, she said.
“So once again, I return to the question, ‘Was justice served?’” she asked. “In my eyes and in my heart, when there is accountability for all, then justice will have been served”.

She accused her husband of falsely saying he was a stay-at-home dad who was their son’s primary caregiver, whereas she said, her mother and father took care of young Aramazd while she was at work.
Further stating that her husband had a gambling problem and was addicted to prescription drugs, and he had told her that if anything were to happen between them, he would take the child to Iran or Armenia, according to the court documents.
After her son disappeared, filed paperwork asking a divorce court to end the child-and spousal-support payments she had been ordered to pay her husband. She declared Andressian had “lost our son while our son was in his custody.”
