In a vile attack on the families of those Cameron Wilson targeted, on being sentenced, he said loudly, &#8216;At least I&#8217;m still alive&#8217; in a voice dripping with sarcasm.<br />
He was found guilty in a South African court of 13 charges including five murders, one rape and three attempted murder charges.</p>

Deemed a psychopath and danger to society by forensic psychiatrist, Professor Shaun Kaliski, during sentencing proceedings, Wilson was sentenced to four life terms as well as a total of 71 years behind bars for the other charges &#8211; the sentences will run concurrently and he will only be considered for parole 25 years from now.</div>

Among those watching proceedings was the Letika Moore&#8217;s father Charles, who told <a class="" href="https://www.iol.co.za/capeargus/news/at-least-im-still-alive-says-serial-killer-cameron-wilson-10924188" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">IOL Newspaper</a>: &#8216;I cry every night for my child. She was my everything. He took my source of energy away. She is never coming back to us.<br />
&#8216;He must feel the same way we feel. No one should be able to see him, not even his family. He is a serial killer.&#8217;<br />
Cameron&#8217;s crime spree started in 2014 and ended with his arrest last year after the murder of 18-year-old Lekita Moore in Valhalla Park. Her mutilated, naked body was discovered in an open field where she had been stabbed 98 times.<br />
Abigail Plaatjies was one of his victims who survived, testified to the terror she experienced with her 16-year-old friend Stacy-Lee Mohale. On April 24, 2015, the two girls walked a friend home, and on their way back, they were approached by Wilson and a younger boy.<br />
Wilson led them to a nearby field at gunpoint where he raped Stacey Mohale. He then hit and stabbed them and finally threw tyres over them and set them alight. Mohale, did not survive the attack. Plaatjies did, but with serious injuries.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Her cousin, Jolene Daniels, said Wilson should never be re-introduced to society in light of him being eligible for parole in just 25 years.<br />
The prosecutor Carine Teunissenn said &#8216;He was cruel and the crimes he committed were gruesome.<br />
&#8216;He disrespected women and enjoyed manipulating them and when they defied him, he lashed at them.&#8217;</p>
