<p>A Florida couple is behind bars after allegedly telling police a false story about a black man with a Mohawk stabbing them outside their home to cover up a domestic dispute over drugs.<br />
Christina Ann MacCornack and her boyfriend Christopher Thomas Jacobs were arrested Monday in Avon Park after MacCornack called police to report a stabbing.<br />
A bulletin from the <a href="http://www.hcso-news.org/hcso-news/082917-stabbing">Highlands County Sheriff&#8217;s Office</a>, said the 28-year-old Christina MacCornack told officers that she and Jacobs were sitting on their front porch when a black man with a Mohawk walked up to them and stabbed her in the leg and Jacobs in the stomach.<br />
After questioning the pair about the alleged incident, police quickly realized they weren&#8217;t telling the truth and MacCornack, who had wounds on her leg and hands, had been wielding the knife.<br />
The Sheriff&#8217;s department said Jacobs, 27, had been released from the hospital Monday after nearly being electrocuted while changing a lightbulb, told officers he returned home and got into an argument with his girlfriend over drugs.</p>

<p>Jacobs said she tried to run out of the house naked so he dragged her back inside, and she grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the stomach.<br />
MacCornack, however, told a completely different story, alleging that Jacobs had the knife and was trying to harm himself so she hugged him and he was accidentally stabbed.<br />
Police said MacCornack had bruises on her legs and hands and had been punched in the face in course of the altercation.<br />
Since detectives couldn&#8217;t figure out the sequence of events and it was a domestic dispute, both people were arrested.<br />
MacCornack was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.<br />
Jacobs was charged with felony domestic battery and is being held on a $1,000 bond.</p>
