<article id="ra-body">A week ago conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh spent 24 hours feuding with meteorologist Al Roker over the dangers of Hurricane Irma, which at that point had left a trail of devastation in the Caribbean.<br />
Limbaugh described messaging on the impending landfall of Irma in Florida as “one of the fastest and best ways” to “advance this climate change agenda.”<br />
“You can accomplish a lot just by creating fear and panic. You don’t need a hurricane to hit anywhere,” he said on “The Rush Limbaugh Show.”<br />
Ironically, a few days after talking about how destructive hurricanes were overblown and emboldened climate change proponents, conservative shock jock, Rush Limbaugh has announced he’s evacuating his Palm Beach, Fla. home.<br />
As Category 4-strength Hurricane Irma inches closer to southern Florida, the commentator said on his program Thursday, “May as well announce this. I’m not going to get into details because of the security nature of things, but it turns out that we will not be able to do the program here tomorrow. We’ll be on the air next week, folks, from parts unknown.”<br />
Conservative commentator and author Mark Steyn will fill in for Limbaugh,<a href="http://thehill.com/homenews/media/349794-limbaugh-evacuates-after-calling-irma-liberal-plot" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> The Hill</a>l reports.</p>

<p>This is in sharp contrast with the message to defy appeals to evacuate the path of the storm from authorities in Florida which Limbaugh told his listeners, after inferring that the frenzy surrounding a hurricane is often a ploy to boost ratings for the media and drive sales for retailers.<br />
Oddly he had included the caveat that he is “not a meteorologist” and that the messages he’s he&#8217;d broadcast did non comprise a “forecast.”</p>

<p>He added, “There is a desire to advance this climate change agenda, and hurricanes are one of the fastest and best ways to do it. You can accomplish a lot just by creating fear and panic&#8230; All you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent and bigger and more dangerous, and you create panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.”<br />
Limbaugh said it boils down to money, of course, and that there is a “symbiotic relationship” between retailers and local media.<br />
Once TV stations begin reporting on a storm, residents are driven to retailers to prepare, and so on, he said.<br />
As reported by<a href="http://thehill.com/homenews/media/349794-limbaugh-evacuates-after-calling-irma-liberal-plot" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> The Hill</a>, Limbaugh&#8217;s campaign of negativism prompted NBC meteorologist Al Roker to weighed in on Limbaugh&#8217;s comments with some caustic observations on the conservative pundit&#8217;s il-informed opinions. Limbaugh ultimately told his listeners state that Irma was “dire” and “mammoth” .</p>

<p>He then said that it would be legally impossible for him to broadcast from his location, suggesting that he may be under a mandatory evacuation.<br />
Hurricane Irma is expected to make landfall on US as a category-4 storm with winds that may have reduced from 185 mph to between 70 and 120 mph.<br />
Irma ripped through the Caribbean Wednesday devastating the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas on its way, before hitting southern Florida, this weekend</p>
