<p>Authorities in Harris County Texas, charged 30-year-old woman with murdering her boyfriend while he slept inside their Baytown home, according to a Police Department <a href="http://www.baytowncops.com/?p=12398">press release.</a><br />
According to court documents, 32-year-old Steven Coleman had told one of his female friends &#8220;on numerous occasions if he was ever to go missing, she needed to make sure police looked into [Sutton] as the cause.&#8221;<br />
Cierra Alexis Sutton was arrested September 14 and charged with the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Steven Coleman. Police told <a href="http://www.khou.com/news/police-woman-shot-killed-boyfriend-before-dismembering-body/475732498" target="_blank" rel="noopener">KHOU</a> she dismembered him with a machete after firing the fatal shot.<br />
His remains were then scattered in various dumpsters nearby, on August 16, police said.<br />
Two days after the murder, Sutton reported Coleman missing at the Baytown Police station, acting like she had no idea regarding his whereabouts.<br />
However, she became the prime suspect a week later, after police received a call on August 22, about a male torso that was found in a Baytown landfill. The victim&#8217;s description matched that of missing Coleman.<br />
Sutton, 30, and her boyfriend are said to have been arguing on the evening of his murder. It&#8217;s unclear what their disagreement pertained to.</p>

<p>Before the torso was found, the suspect stayed with her boyfriend&#8217;s family as they looked for their missing loved one, said Coleman&#8217;s close friend Dominique Clark<br />
&#8220;She played the role of an innocent person,&#8221; Clark said. &#8220;She played the role of an innocent person, and she played it to the fullest.&#8221;<br />
Coleman&#8217;s credit cards were used at a Harris County Walmart after he went missing, according to investigators, and the woman caught on surveillance camera buying duct tape and a mattress pad with Coleman&#8217;s card closely matched Sutton&#8217;s description.<br />
Witnesses also reported seeing Sutton and other men moving furniture out of Coleman&#8217;s apartment on Aug. 20.<br />
However, by the time investigators searched the apartment on August 24, most of the furniture had been removed from the unit. The police forensic&#8217;s team did find blood in several rooms, including the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Investigators said they also found blood in Sutton&#8217;s Jeep.</p>

<p>Despite charging Sutton with murder, authorities still have not positively identified the remains as officially belonging to Coleman.<br />
Police allege that Sutton confessed her crimes to several friends, that she cut Coleman up because he was too heavy for her to carry. Sutton also reportedly told friends her 10-year-old daughter was home when the crime occurred.<br />
Baffled neighbors said they heard nothing from the apartment on the evening of the murder. Furthermore they said, Sutton acted as though everything was fine in the days after she allegedly murdered Coleman.<br />
&#8220;She acted like she knew nothing about anything. She was trying to call him, hadn&#8217;t heard from him. Family members didn&#8217;t get a response,&#8221; Mikki Rogers, who lives below Sutton and Coleman&#8217;s apartment, said told <a href="http://www.khou.com/news/police-woman-shot-killed-boyfriend-before-dismembering-body/475732498" target="_blank" rel="noopener">KHOU</a>.<br />
&#8220;There&#8217;s always been smiles, talk, no signs of anything that would indicate something like this,&#8221; another neighbor said.After the body was found, Sutton reportedly fled Texas to Louisiana. She dropped her daughter off with a friend just outside of New Orleans.<br />
Investigators finally apprehended the fugitive killer September 14, in an apartment complex and was taken into custody.</p>
