<p>Watch out Anthony Joshua! As a new British heavyweight boxing sensation Daniel Dubois just recorded his fifth consecutive knockout in his burgeoning five months ago career, signalling his intentions with a devastating performance, September 16, in London, UK.<br />
After the fight ended abruptly within the first minute of the first round, paramedics rushed to the ring to tend to a dazed, AJ Carter, who was knocked down three times inside 48 seconds, including a finishing blow that saw him fall face-first to the canvas.</p>

“He’s the hardest-punching heavyweight I’ve seen for years,” Dubois’ promoter, Frank Warren, said after the fight.<br />
“I really mean that. You go back to the Mike Tyson days … that’s what he’s doing. Every punch he throws … it’s a punch, as they say in the old adage, with bad intentions.”</div>

<div>Boxing analyst Steve Bunce was similarly paid glowing tribute to Dubois, who is rumored to have once knocked down heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in sparring.</div>

<p>“He is the hardest single punch hitter in Britain right now, possibly the world,” Bunce said.<br />
Dubois seemed take it all in stride: “I was very focused and I trained very hard so I expected that of myself,” he said. “I’ve thrown better [punches], but I’m just trying to improve all the time because whoever they land on will go down. I hope he’s OK, and I hope he recovers. … It was quick and it’s better that way when I go out there and do the business in the first round.<br />
“I just want to get it over and done with straightaway. As soon as the first bell rings, I want to get this fight over and done. … I just go out there and do my job.”<br />
The one-sided contest prompted one Twitter user to joke “so that’s why my plumber didn’t turn up,”.<br />
Until they stepped into the ring, Carter at with a record of 8-3 looked like a good test, on paper at least, considering he once was a 6-0 fighter.</p>

<p>Warren said it has not been easy finding worthy opponents to provide stiffer tests, for the prospect.<br />
“He is a puncher. He’s a big puncher. He can box as well. He’s got a superb jab,” Warren said. “The other guy came to fight … [but] obviously in that very short space of time, it’s over. Of course I’d like to see him get some rounds under his belt, but we’re going to have to find someone with a cast-iron chin.”<br />
Dubois was originally touted as a gold-medal prospect at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, but his advisers had him going professional in 2017 because he is good enough to do to make an impression in the heavyweight ranks.<br />
“I would have loved to have represented Great Britain in Tokyo and if the Games had been next year, I wouldn’t have had a problem,” Dubois told British media.<br />
“But I couldn’t wait nearly four years. I know I’m going to learn so much more as a professional fighter. By the time 2020 comes around, I expect to be world heavyweight champion.”</p>
