<p>Authorities in Frederick, Maryland Wednesday charged two teens with kidnapping and raping a classmate and police say a third suspect is at large. The victim told police she was grabbed from behind by the hair as she was walking home Sept. 1. Three young men, two of whom she recognized as classmates, slapped her. One of them pulled a knife and cut the girl’s chest.<br />
As they took her cellphone and dragged her to a nearby vehicle, they told the girl they were acting on orders from a younger female acquaintance. She was gagged with a rag, and she was driven to an apartment where for the next few hours, her two classmates, identified in charging documents as 17-year-old Edgar Natanal Chicas-Hernandez and 19-year-old Victor Antonio Gonzalez-Guttierres, took turns raping her<br />
Police are trying to identify the third accomplice who the victim could not identify because his face covered. She did not recognize his voice either but she stated that he used a cellphone to record the crime.<br />
<a href="https://www.fredericknewspost.com/news/crime_and_justice/high-schoolers-charged-with-rape-assault-of-teen-girl-in/article_f6cf2903-9056-5d17-bcfa-1d368bb2bab8.html">The Frederick News-Post reported Wednesday</a> that police said in court documents that a female acquaintance of the victim may have persuaded the suspects to act.<br />
When the assault finally ended, the rapists drove their victim back to the place where she had been abducted. Her belongings and cellphone were returned, along with a warning &#8211; Call the police, “next time it will be worse,” they told her.<br />
Despite the threats, the girl eventually agreed to speak with police, along with several male acquaintances who were reportedly contacted by the instigator, through social media.<br />
When detectives obtained copies of the social media conversations, they learned the instigator, a 13-year-old girl had identified herself during the conversation and had even contacted one of the acquaintances before the assault, outlining her plan to extort the older girl for money. Later she had offered one of those male acquaintances footage of the assault in exchange for “[one] night of pleasure,” according to charging documents.<br />
When questioned about her role in the crime, she admitted that Chicas-Hernandez and Gonzalez-Guttierres would likely tell investigators she told them to commit the assault, but denied any involvement in the crime, as she claimed there were several fake social media accounts falsely claiming to belong to her.<br />
Chicas-Hernandez and Gonzalez-Guttierres have been charged with kidnapping, first-degree rape, sodomy, and first- and second-degree assault.<br />
Possible gang affiliations for both teens were mentioned to investigators. Although such gang ties were being investigated, it has not been confirmed.<br />
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said in a statement Thursday that the agency has lodged an immigration detainer for Gonzalez-Guttierres. ICE says he is from El Salvador.</p>
