A well-to-do couple were arrested and charged in a London court for the murder and burning the remains of their French nanny, after neighbors reported a “weird barbecue” smell to cops and the au pair’s scorched body was found in the backyard of their posh home, according to reports.
French-Algerian designer and makeup artist Sabrina Kouider, 34, and her boyfriend Ouissem Medouni, 40, were been accused of killing Sophie Lionnet, 21, in London on Friday, the Guardian reports. The pair killed the French nanny sometime between September 7 and September 20, met police said.

The badly burned body was discovered Wednesday in the garden of their home in London.
Sabrina Kouider and Ouissem Medouni are alleged to have killed the victim on or before 20 September at the address in Wandsworth, south-west London, UK.
Initially investigators were unable to tell the age or gender of the body because of the level of burns, but local media reported that the victim was Sophie Lionnet, a nanny from Troyes, north-east France, who is said to have worked for Kouider.
Kouider, a makeup artist and designer, is the former girlfriend of Mark Walton, who was part of the initial lineup of the boyband Boyzone, and current beau Medouni, were remanded in custody at Westminster magistrates court to appear at the Old Bailey on 26 September.
A friend of victim’s revealed she had come to London to learn English but found it difficult adapting: “Sophie had been unhappy for a long time, so unhappy she left to stay with one of her few friends for two nights last month.
“She had finally decided to go home, though, and had just asked her mum to send her £40 so she could afford the fare. She was supposed to have gone back on Monday. She never arrived.”

Cops found Lionnet’s remains outside the ritzy $1.2-million residence on Wednesday after neighbors spotted them starting a big fire, but it didn’t smell like they were grilling burgers.
“My young son called out, ‘If you are having a barbecue, are we allowed to come?’”, said one neighbor.
“I told him, ‘no that’s not a barbecue, that’s a bad smell.’ I thought they may be burning leaves.”
The body was so badly burned that cops couldn’t initially tell if it was a man or a woman, police sources said.
Lionnet had been living with the family for about 14 months, caring for Quider’s 3-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son whom she had with ex-boyfriend Mark Walton, THe Los Angeles base music business mogul who founded Irish boyband Boyzone.
