Blake Farrell Sinrod&comma; and the Palm Beach County School Board&comma; alleging that the children were sexually molested by Sinrod&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Authorities began to investigate the matter after one of the young students told her mother Sinrod had touched her inappropriately during a reading group and also instructed her to touch his genitals through his pants&period; Three other girls told similar stories of classroom abuse&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Sinrod of Boca Raton allegedly&comma; targeted children of non-English-speaking parents so they would have a hard time reporting it&period; Arrested and charged with molesting two students in his elementary classroom&period; It has been reported that there might be eight other victims as well&period; Sinrod employed at Coral Sunset since 1999&comma; pled guilty after facing five felony counts on charges in May of 2006&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The teacher&comma; now 46&comma; was fired in 2006 and pleaded guilty to child abuse charges involving two of the students in May the same year&period; His teaching license was revoked in 2008&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The School Board is expected to approve the &dollar;3&period;6 million settlement on Oct&period; 18&period; The amount was negotiated during meditation&comma; the Palm Beach School district argued that Sinrod’s actions were &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;unknown and beyond the foresight of reasonably prudent persons&period;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;However&comma; the parents’ lawsuit cited the case of another parent who had complained to a Coral Sunset assistant principal in 2003 about a similar incident involving a second-grade girl&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The assistant principal told those parents that Sinrod was a &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;highly recommended teacher” and that their daughter must be lying&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The parents of that child moved away from Florida and didn&&num;8217&semi;t pursue criminal charges or a lawsuit until 2010&period; Their case was dismissed after courts ruled the statute of limitations had passed&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Lawyers for the four girls in the 2005 case argued that the school district failed to investigate or take proper action against Sinrod when the 2003 allegations surfaced&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;article>&NewLine;<&sol;div>&NewLine;
