<p>Three similar murders have occurred in a Tampa neighborhood in the span of two weeks, leading to talk of a possible serial killer.<br />
Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said officers are still searching for “someone who has been terrorizing a neighborhood” in the Seminole Heights district of Tampa.<br />
The latest victim was Anthony Naiboa, 20, who was murdered on Thursday.<br />
Naiboa, who had autism, was shot after accidentally taking the wrong bus home from work.<br />
Dugan said officers were in the neighborhood and heard gunfire while canvassing the area: “One of our officers was able to find him, but it was too late,” Dugan said in a recorded statement.<br />
“He was already dead when our police officers came up on him.”</p>

<p>The current wave of unsolved homicides in the neighborhood began on October 9, at approximately 9:00 p.m., when Benjamin Edward Mitchell was killed waiting for a metro bus in Tampa. While at the bus stop, 22-year-old Mitchell was shot by an unknown suspect. He later died as a result of the injuries he sustained. Witnesses described seeing a black male, early 20’s, wearing a dark hooded jacket, running from the area where the shooting took place immediately after the gunfire.</p>

<p align="left">Four days later, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Monica Caridad Hoffa, 32, was found in a vacant lot in the 1000 block of New Orleans Avenue East in Tampa. She had been walking through the neighborhood on October 11, 2017 at approximately 8:45 p.m. headed to meet a friend. Hoffa was shot and killed by an unknown suspect. Her body was discovered on Oct 13.</p>

<p align="left">Less than a week, on October 19, the third victim, Anthony Naiboa, 20, was killed in the same neighborhood in Tampa. 20-year-old Naiboa was shot by an unknown suspect as he was walking, he later died as a result of the injuries he sustained.<br />
Naiboa was found about 300 yards from where the first victim, Benjamin Mitchell, was killed.<br />
Naiboa and the second victim was Monica Hoffa, were murdered occurred within a mile of Mitchell.<br />
So far, the only image police have released of a suspect is a grainy surveillance video of a person wearing a hooded shirt walking in the street.</p>

<div class="MediaCard-widthConstraint js-cspForcedStyle">The Tampa Police Department is encouraging Seminole Heights residents to band together and refuse to be “held hostage by whoever is doing this.”<br />
“We need everyone to come out of their homes at night, turn on their porch lights and just not tolerate this type of terrorism in a neighborhood,” Dugan said.<br />
Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information in the case.<br />
