<p>12 years after he became the first rookie to win the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award with the Chicago Bulls, former shooting guard Ben Gordon continues to struggle with life after basketball.<br />
The 2004 No. 3 overall draft pick continues to go coast to coast with his run-ins with the law. According to <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2017/11/28/ben-gordon-arrested-felony-robbery/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a>, the ex-NBA player was arrested Monday afternoon in Los Angeles after allegedly roughing up a man at his former apartment building and leaving with thousands of dollars in cash. Coming barely a week after the 34-year-old retired basketball player was arrested with forged tags in Harlem.<br />
The British-born athlete who grew up in the New York suburb of Mount Vernon, reportedly went to the L.A. apartment complex where he used to live, in an attempt to retrieve his security deposit.<br />
A dispute with a staffer over the security deposit refund escalated with Gordon allegedly putting his hands on him and threaten him, according to <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2017/11/28/ben-gordon-arrested-felony-robbery/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ.<br />
</a>The man handed over a portion of the deposit, and Gordon was scheduled to return to collect the balance.<br />
The apartment complex staffer called police after Gordon left, claiming he handed over the money out of fear of the 6-foot-3 former shooting guard.<br />
When the former pro basketballer returned for the rest of his money, &#8220;a couple thousand dollars,&#8221; according to the report, he ran into a reception party of instead LAPD officers.<br />
He was arrested him for felony robbery.</p>

<p>He was later released on $50,000 bail.<br />
The incident was the latest in a rash of run-ins Gordon has had with the law since his retirement from the Orlando Magic in 2015.<br />
In June, he was taken into custody by L.A. police for setting off false fire alarms at his apartment complex. His failure to appear in court later that month, prompted a judge to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.<br />
<a href="http://www.tmz.com/2017/10/25/ben-gordon-threatening-video-hospitalized/">TMZ </a>reports that Last month, Gordon was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation after cops responded to a confrontation he had with a woman at his business in Mount Vernon. Gordon had allegedly locked himself inside the building with the woman while in possession of a knife.<br />
The woman told officials they had an argument and that Gordon flipped out. Police said they saw Gordon in the bathroom holding a box cutter but were unable to recover it. He was not charged in the incident.</p>

<p>Last week Sunday, NYPD officers arrested Gordon in Harlem, NY after they found that his Florida license plate was fake. Gordon was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.<br />
Gordon, who won an NCAA championship with Ucon in 2004, became the first rookie to win the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award after the Chicago Bulls. Five seasons in Chicago, saw him traded to arch rivals, Detroit Pistons.<br />
He later joined the Bobcats before playing one season in Orlando, earning $84 million over an 11-year NBA career.<br />
In his latest Cameo, Gordon had a short stint with the G League’s Texas Legends earlier this year after.</p>
