Cops busted two Long Island men for the 2015 slaying of rapper Chinx in Queens, officials announced Thursday.
Jamar Hill, 26, of Valley Stream, and Quincy Homere, 32, of Baldwin both faces charges of murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown said in a statement.
Hill and Homere from Long Island, both currently serving time for unrelated crimes, were arrested Thursday.
Aspiring rapper Lionel Pickens, known by his stage name ‘Chinx’ , was gunned down in an early morning drive-by attack on May 17, 2015.
Chinx, a 31-year-old member of French Montana’s Coke Boys group, was riddled with 15 bullets as he and a friend were cruising along Queens Boulevard in Queens, NY two years ago.

Lionel Pickens, 31 was riddled with 15 bullets as he and a pal were cruising along Queens Boulevard in his silver 2015 Porsche Panamera 4 around 4 a.m., cops said. At the time
Police said they had not found the motive for the killing, but Chinx’s cousin speculated it was likely fueled by jealousy from rivals in his old neighborhood.
“He was not at the pinnacle but was getting very well-known,” the relative said of Chinx, who grew up in Far Rockaway, Queens.
His killer, the relative said, “was definitely someone who came to do a job, and I guess he fulfilled his job.”
The rapper put out a remix called “Hurry Up &; Die Vol. 1: Get Ya Casket On” in 2009.
Before his death Chinx was set to debut his first solo album, “Welcome to JFK,” later in 2015.

Rapper Lionel “Chinx” Pickens was on the verge of ‘breaking’ out when he was assassinated two years ago

The shooting occurred after Pickens dropping off a third man at the Briarwood subway station near 84th Drive.
A car heading in the opposite direction pulled up alongside his driver’s-side window.
The friend had taken only a few steps into the station before hearing the barrage of bullets, according to police.
Pickens tried to escape and drove for about a block before slumping in front of a Dunkin’ Donuts.
Pickens’ passenger, Antar Aldiadi, 27, stumbled from the car and dialed 911 as blood gushed from a wound in his back.
Both men were taken to Jamaica Hospital where doctors couldn’t save Pickens. Aldiadi was in critical condition, but survived the attack.
Pickens and his friends had just left the now-shuttered Red Wolf nightclub in Brooklyn, where the rapper had performed.
“The show went well,” said Red Wolf manager Luis Lopez, 37, adding that Chinx took the stage around 2:30 a.m. and rapped for around 30 minutes. “There were no problems; he didn’t fight with anyone.”
Authorities said Hill and Homere followed Pickens from a performance at the Brooklyn lounge, before pumping him full of bullets.
The suspects will be arraigned later Thursday on a five-count indictment charging them with murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
If convicted, they each face up to 25 years to life in prison.
