according to police and news reports&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Yvonne Ramirez&comma; who was also shot&comma; is claiming self-defense in the slaying of Joshua McKinney on a Baytown street&comma; but Harris County Sheriff investigators did not find her story convincing and charged her with murder&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Prosecutors revealed that mother-of-one&comma; Yvonne Raquel Ramirez established a plan to rob Joshua McKinney of his guns&period; The two recently met and had been spending time together&period; After she stole the guns&comma; she allegedly demanded &dollar;2&comma;000 in exchange for the weapons&&num;8217&semi; return&period; The two met off Mizell Street&period; &lbrack;left&rsqb; of Baytown had recently met Josh McKinney &lbrack;right&rsqb;&comma; a military academy graduate who was planning on joining the marines<&sol;strong><&sol;h6>&NewLine;<p>A witness told cops that McKinney held a gun to Ramirez&&num;8217&semi;s head after the &dollar;2&comma;000 ransom demand  in exchange for the stolen weapons&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;abc13&period;com&sol;2850502&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener">KTRK<&sol;a> reports&period; McKinney allegedly&comma; also had grabbed her by the neck&comma; according to the witness&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The witness heard gunfire as she ran to call for help&comma; according to the station&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;McKinney was later found dead&comma; and Ramirez was found with a shoulder wound&period; She told investigators that the gun fell and fired and struck him&comma; according to the station&period; She later said she had seized the weapon and fired in self-defense&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Another witness said Ramirez tried to manipulate the victim&&num;8217&semi;s body&comma; and prosecutors said she also stole the dead man&&num;8217&semi;s wallet&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;However&comma; prosecutor JoAnne Musick countenanced the wallet theft when she  <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;baytownsun&period;com&sol;news&sol;article&lowbar;efb4ca82-f034-11e7-bb63-df5c34fee5a7&period;html" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" rel&equals;"noopener">told the Baytown Sun<&sol;a> that &&num;8220&semi;I’m not sure where KTRK may have received that&period;&&num;8221&semi;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8220&semi;&lpar;Ramirez&rpar; has not made an appearance in court yet&comma;&&num;8221&semi; she told the newspaper&period; &&num;8220&semi;As such&comma; we are not at liberty to comment on anything that is not public&period;&&num;8221&semi;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The shooting took place at approximately 4&colon;30 a&period;m&period;
