<p class="mol-para-with-font">A man who went missing after setting up a date with a girl through the dating site Plenty of Fish has been identified, months after his skeletal remains were found and nearly a year after he disappeared.<br />
Marty William McMillan Jr. of Washington D.C., went missing last spring after setting up a date with a woman he met on the dating site Plenty of Fish.<br />
The skeletal remains of the 22-year-old who went missing in April were found in Prince George&#8217;s County in Maryland in October. The bones were found near the Suitland Parkway.<br />
Family sources says police identified body found in PG County in October as Marty McMillan Jr., but a year on the family is still searching for answers.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;He was a human being. He didn&#8217;t deserve to be laying out there all that time like that, just thrown away like a piece of trash,&#8217; McMillan&#8217;s grandmother Forlesia Cook said to <a class="" href="https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Skeletal-Remains-Found-in-IDd-as-Missing-DC-Man-468828793.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">NBC</a>.<br />
McMillan&#8217;s car was found by his grandmother in May of last year, about three miles from the place he was last seen. Police said he was shot multiple times before his body was dumped.<br />
McMillan&#8217;s last recorded phone was with the woman he was supposed to meet up with from the dating site, but she claims she didn&#8217;t have her phone on her and she never met up with him.<br />
McMillan&#8217;s body was found in October of 2017, but was just recently identified.</p>

<p class="paragraph" data-pnum="15">Investigators told McMillan&#8217;s family the last phone call he made was to the woman he was supposed to meet.<br />
But when investigators spoke to the woman more than a week later, she told them she didn&#8217;t have her phone when he was communicating with her, and that she never saw him.<br />
After McMillan&#8217;s disappearance, his family launched a campaign to find him and spent every weekend searching for him. In May, his grandmother found his car on the 5800 block of Foote Street, North East DC, three miles from where he was last seen.<br />
Cooke believes D.C. police should have done more to search for her grandson.<br />
&#8220;They wouldn&#8217;t elevate his case to homicide. It was &#8216;critical missing,&#8217; and it stayed that way until now, even though he was dead from the first day,&#8221; she said.<br />
McMillan&#8217;s bank cards were used after he disappeared, according to the <a class="" href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/remains-found-along-highway-identified-as-man-reported-missing-from-district-in-april/2018/01/11/1148ab6a-f70f-11e7-b34a-b85626af34ef_story.html?utm_term=.c50ca61fe3b0" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Washington Post</a>.<br />
No arrests have been made in connection with the case. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information regarding McMillan&#8217;s death.<br />
A D.C. homicide investigation is underway.</p>
