<p class="mol-para-with-font">A cocaine dealer who once survived a hail of over 100 bullets in 1993 and was part of a drug ring that brought billions of dollars in drugs in the U.S. was finally brought to justice after four years on the run.<br />
Mario Gonzalez, 53, a drug dealer who has survived and eluded serious attempts at recapture by authorities was arrested Friday night after going on the run after his release from prison in 2014.<br />
Two helicopters and nearly 40 officers were involved in tracking down Gonzalez after he eluded them on an ATV, leading U.S. Marshals on an outlandish chase Friday night in a Southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood.</p>

Much as he did in July 1993 when the then 29-year-old drug dealer tried to run U.S. Marshals over with a Chevrolet Blazer through a hail of bullets, Gonzalez again survived a a barrage of 134 bullets from deputies’ guns with only minor injuries, before his capture and arrest, Friday. <strong><img class=" wp-image-288350 alignleft" src="https://konniemoments.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Mario-Gonzalez-capture-1.png" alt="Mario Gonzalez capture 1" width="98" height="292" /></strong><br />

In 1993, Gonzalez was wanted on drug and weapons charges &#8211; when authorities cornered him, he tried to escape by running them over in a vehicle. When he was captured, he was found with a pipe bomb and a gun.<br />
Gonzalez was subsequently convicted on a rash of charges and spent nearly two decades in jail.<br />
Under the sway of Griselda Blanco, aka “the Godmother”, the bloodthirsty Miami drug kingpin of the 1970s and ’80s, the ring of drug dealers known as the &#8216;Cocaine cowboys&#8217; combined to traffic cocaine into the United States in conjunction with Colombian drug cartels.</p>
