<p class="mol-para-with-font">Mexican police announced they have found the remains of at least 240 people thought to have been killed by a single hitman who used acid to dissolve his victims in barrels before dumping them in mass graves.<br />
This preferred method earned Sinaloa Drug Cartel hitman, Santiago Meza Lopez,<strong> </strong> the nickname of The Soup Maker&#8217;.<br />
Investigators believe there could be as many as 650 victims buried in mass graves uncovered in a notorious area of Tijuana, in the state of Baja, California used by the killer.<br />
Authorities believe the area was used as a human dumping ground by Santiago Meza Lopez, also known as El Pozolero, who is known to have worked as a human eraser for the Sinaloa Drug Cartel in Mexico.</p>

The team of workers carefully excavated bone fragments from the soil, that were then brushed down and placed in a surprisingly large pile on at the burial sites in Tijuana.<br />
The team to date has found 16,500 litres of organic material, as well as, an estimated 170 to 200 kilograms of human bones at the alleged killing grounds.<br />
Judging by the volume of organic matter so far recovered, authorities think there could be up to 650 people buried on the site.</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">In January 2009 Mexican police arrested Santiago Meza Lopez on suspicion of helping a drug kingpin dispose of hundreds of victims. The victims are believed to be rivals of Teodoro Garcia Simental, an alleged former lieutenant of the Tijuana-based Arellano Felix drug cartel, authorities said.<br />
Lopez was forced into admittance in 2011, after prosecutors unearthed fat, skin and bones at properties in the Mexican border city of Tijuana once used by The Soup Maker. He then admitted to dissolving the bodies of drug cartel victims. back then Fernando Ocegueda insisted there was reason to believe the remains belong to victims of cartel body-handler Santiago Meza Lopez.<br />
After his arrest Lopez<a href="http://www.sandiegored.com/en/news/49179/Leaked-confession-reveals-pozolero-s-ghastly-career"> described how he disposed of the bodies</a>, while claiming he was on a retainership of only $620 a week, for his gruesome work.</p>
