<p>A man is pleading &#8216;not guilty&#8217; to shooting his friend dead during a live-stream, despite the existence of a video apparently showing him putting a gun to the victim&#8217;s head and pulling the trigger.<br />
John Walker Adams, 23, is accused of fatally shooting his friend Josman Cereceres, 23, execution style in the head.<br />
Adams had been drinking and live-streaming with Cereceres on an app called LiveMe last November when Cereceres suffered at fatal gunshot wound to the head, the <a class="class" href="https://www.nrtoday.com/news/court/roseburg-man-pleads-not-guilty-to-shooting-friend-in-the/article_e362b715-0766-54fa-a367-8cb2e30052e8.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">News Review</a> reports.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The suspect told police his friend had accidentally shot himself, when he picked up a loaded pistol from the counter, and the gun went off, court documents show.<br />
Cereceres was rushed to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, where he later died.<br />
Investigators determined that the cause of the shooting was likley from a self-inflicted and found that it had been an accidental shooting.<br />
No charges were filed.<br />
His explanation however, was directly contradicted by his attorney, David Terry.<br />
On December 1, Terry informed told police that his client was responsible for the death of Cereceres.<br />
John Walker Adams was subsequently charged with first-degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence in the shooting death of Josman Cereceres.</p>

<div>Terry, who was representing Adams, told police that Adams had been the one to accidentally kill his friend.</div>

<p>Police interviewed Adams four days later, and he claimed that he and Cereceres had been drinking and live-streaming themselves on an app called &#8216;LiveMe&#8217; that night when the shooting occurred.<br />
In court documents, Adams said he picked up a pistol that was on the counter and the gun accidentally went off, shooting Cereceres in the head.<br />
After investigators recovered a copy of the live broadcast, they found that Adams had again withheld some details about the shooting.<br />
He was then seen slide a round into the firing chamber, place the gun to the side of Cereceres’ head and pull the trigger.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Police interviewed Adams again a few days later, where he admitted he changed his clothes and returned to alter the crime scene. He threw a bullet found on the ground into a field.<br />
If convicted of first-degree manslaughter, Adams faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years.</p>
