<p>Police in Rockwall, an upscale Dallas surburb believe college professor Hyun &#8216;Harry&#8217; Seop Lee, shot dead his wife, who is also a college professor, for being &#8216;disrespectful.&#8217;<br />
The then set their house on fire and turned the gun on himself in a suspected murder-suicide.<br />
Police in Texas say Dr Hyun &#8216;Harry&#8217; Seop Lee, 42, killed his wife, professor Yoon Duk &#8216;Debbie&#8217; Kim, 39, and then himself, leaving their five-year-old daughter, as the sole family survivor.<br />
First responders arrived on the scene just before 5am on Monday to find the couple&#8217;s five-year-old girl who was known to live at the home asleep in a car parked in the driveway.<br />
The child was unharmed but was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. She has since been released into the custody of Child Protective Services because she has no other relatives in the US.<br />
Firefighters who entered the burning residence found the parents dead inside. The man was identified as Hyun Lee. His wife has been identified as Yoon Duk&#8217; Kim.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The Rockwall Police Department, told <a class="class" href="https://www.dallasnews.com/news/fire-1/2018/05/07/2-dead-child-survives-rockwall-house-fire-police-say-might-bemurder-suicide" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Dallas News</a> it was unclear whether one of the parents put the child in the car for her protection, or whether she somehow climbed inside herself.<br />
According to investigators, sometime before the murder-suicide, Lee posted a message on what is believed to be his Facebook account, which included a<br />
suicide note and a list of gripes against this wife.<br />
Writing in Korean, Lee lamented that Kim had been &#8216;a disrespectful wife.&#8217;<br />
‘I&#8217;m so sick and tired of her making important life decisions without talking with me,’ he reportedly wrote.<br />
‘All my suggestions are ignored.’</p>

After moving to the US in 2005, Lee earned his PhD in aerospace engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013.<br />
Kim was an assistant professor of engineering at Texas A&;M University-Commerce, where she had taught construction engineering for three years.<br />
Like her husband, Kim had degrees from Hayung University and was a postdoctoral fellow at his alma mater, Georgia Tech.</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font"> Responding to the A&;M-Commerce president Ray Keck issued a statement Monday addressing the death of the female professor, whom he described as one of his ‘stars.’<br />
‘This tragedy knocks us to our knees, an occurrence more appropriate to the Greek classics than to Rockwall-Commerce,’ he wrote.<br />
Kim&#8217;s colleagues described her as outgoing, smart and very popular among students and staff.<br />
