<p>&#8220;I think that when something tragic happens, it is really important to find a way to move forward and to use it for good,&#8221; Fiske said, according to the station.</p>

<p>Imran&#8217;s medical license has been revoked and he could be deported to Pakistan after he serves his term.<br />
Brooke Fiske was dating Sikander Imran when the Arlington, Virginia, doctor slipped a drug into her tea he knew could cause her to have a miscarriage.<br />
In May 2017, Fiske, who lives in Farmington, New York, said she went to Arlington, Virginia, to talk to Imran about raising their child. Fiske was 17 weeks pregnant when she went to visit Imran to discuss raising the child.<br />
The doctor allegedly, solved issues of potential fatherhood by slipping a pill into her tea, which caused her to go into premature labor hours later. &#8211; She was rushed to the hospital, but the infant did not survive.<br />
Imran and Fiske both lived in New York and had dated on and off for three years. Around the time that Imran left Rochester, New York, and moved to the Washington region for a new job, Fiske found out she was pregnant. But Imran didn’t want to have a baby and tried to convince Fiske to have an abortion, she told WROC.</p>

<p>Fiske said she was drinking tea in Imran&#8217;s home when she noticed a powdery substance, later identified as a crushed pill, at the bottom of her cup.</p>

Imran who lost his medical license following his arrest, faced a minimum of five years and maximum of 40 years in prison for felony, according to Virginia state law.<br />
&#8220;I think that it is really important that people know that if they are dealing with depression before they do something, they should reach out and get help.&#8221; Fiske told news station WJLA.</p>
