<p>For nearly the whole of a day, authorities in Orlando struggled to engage hostage taker Gary Wayne Lindsey in meaningful dialogue in a bid to save the four minor children he had with him while barricaded in their mother&#8217;s apartment.<br />
However, for most or all of the 21-hour standoff between police and Lindsey Jr., it’s likely the four children authorities believed he was holding as hostages were already dead, the <a id="ORGOV000022" title="Orlando Police Department" href="http://www.orlandosentinel.com/topic/crime-law-justice/law-enforcement/orlando-police-department-ORGOV000022-topic.html">Orlando Police Department</a> revealed Thursday.</p>

She managed to escape, but the bodies of the children and Lindsey were found Monday night.<br />
