<p>Stepping up their damage control with a swift response, a convenience store in Albion, Michigan has fired one of their managers following an unseemingly text exchange with a mother in distress. The female manager was fired from her position after she sent &#8216;heartless&#8217; text messages to an employee who was unable to come in to work after her son was put on life support.<br />
Crystal Reynolds Fisher, who is an employee at PS Food Mart in Michigan, shared the cruel texts she received from her boss, who was only identified as Dawn, on Facebook.<br />
&#8216;So my son is on life support and I tell my boss 48 hours before I am to work again that I will not be able to work until my son is off life support and this is what she tells me!&#8217; Fisher wrote in the caption of the screenshots.<br />
Fisher revealed that her teenage son, Jason, is believed to have cellulitis sepsis and was placed on life-support on Saturday.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">In Fisher&#8217;s first text to her boss, Dawn, she explained that once her son, Jason, starts to get better that she&#8217;ll let her know when she can come back to work.<br />
Dawn replied: &#8216;That isn&#8217;t how we do things, so I&#8217;ll accept that you&#8217;re quitting.&#8217;<br />
A shocked Fisher then asked how things are done and if she was being fired because her son&#8217;s condition.<br />
&#8216;If you can&#8217;t come to work that&#8217;s you quitting,&#8217; the manager wrote.<br />
Fisher told her manager that she wanted to let her know ahead of time, but the woman still told Fisher that she would accept that she&#8217;s quitting. |<br />
&#8216;There is no reason you can&#8217;t work and I will not tolerate drama. End of conversation. If you aren&#8217;t there to work your shift tomorrow then I take that as you&#8217;ve quit,&#8217; the manager wrote.</p>

But Fisher fought back with her next reply and said: &#8216;This is not an eye doctors appointment or a dentist appointment, this is my child&#8217;s life we are talking about. I never quit my job.<br />
&#8216;Would you be able to go to work and function if your child was on life support?&#8217;<br />
The manager then responded: &#8216;Yes I would, I still have bills to pay.<br />
&#8216;We don&#8217;t get to come and go as we please at Folk Oil. I have a store to run and that&#8217;s my focus,&#8217; the manager added.<br />
Fisher&#8217;s Facebook post has been shared more than 71,000 times, and since it went viral the manager has been fired.<br />
On Sunday, PS Food Mart released a statement saying that the manager&#8217;s actions were &#8216;not acceptable&#8217;.<br />
&#8216;We are investigating the situation and will make sure that it is resolved quickly and thoroughly.<br />
&#8216;We have already been in contact with our employee and have communicated our support and assurance that she will be allowed any time off needed,&#8217; the statement read.</div>

<p>&#8216;We are sympathetic to anyone, especially our employees that have a loved one in the hospital,&#8217; the company added.<br />
On Monday morning, the company announced that the manager had been fired.<br />
&#8216;We investigated and have found that the situation was handled improperly and without the compassion that we value as a company. For that, we are very sorry,&#8217; the company wrote on Facebook.<br />
&#8216;As a result of this finding, we took quick action and that manager is no longer employed by PS Food Mart.</p></div>

Thousands of Facebook users have been supportive of Fisher, with many wondering if her is any better and several sending him well wishes.<br />
Others were shocked by the text messages and called Fisher&#8217;s former manager &#8216;inhuman&#8217; and &#8216;disgusting&#8217;.<br />
Fisher told <a class="class" href="http://wwmt.com/news/local/viral-facebook-post-helps-albion-mother-keep-her-job" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">WWMT</a> that her son Jason, 18, was put on life support at CS Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.<br />
She said his doctors told her that they had to put Jason on life support because they believe he has cellulitis sepsis, but they&#8217;re still unsure.<br />
Fisher said that she only had one thing to say to her former boss: &#8216;I pray for you, I pray for you. That’s all I can say.&#8217;<br />
She also said that she likes working for PS Food Mart and has no ill feelings toward the company.<br />
Jason is still on life support as he continues to recover from his illness.</div>
