<p>A man and his girlfriend were struck and killed by a New York City subway train after police say he pulled the terrified woman off the platform and they both fell onto the tracks.</p>

<p>Police say 42-year-old Cynthia Raiser and her 54-year-old boyfriend were hit by a northbound C train at around 4.45pm on Thursday at the busy Broadway Junction station in Brooklyn.<br />
Raiser was pronounced dead at the scene. Her lover, identified as Anthony Collins, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.</p>

It is believed that Raiser and Collins were married to other people and having an affair with one another.<br />
The 54-year-old Collins allegedly had a history of domestic violence.</p>
