<div>A Memphis man with a history of domestic violence has been charged with murder after police say he battered his girlfriend with a brick and then repeatedly ran over her with his car.</div>
</div>
<div>According to the Memphis Police Department, on Sunday night officers responded to a home in the 3200 block of Carnes Avenue, where they found the lifeless body of 31-year-old Amanda Petrowski.<br />
Petrowski’s long-time boyfriend and the father of her two children, 34-year-old Santrez Traylor, initially fled the scene but was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault.</div>

<div>Petrowski&#8217;s neighbors in the Orange Mound section of Memphis said they witnessed the deadly domestic dispute unfold before their eyes on Sunday.<br />
One eyewitness recounted how Traylor repeatedly struck Petrowksi with a brick in front of their home. When the woman collapsed to the ground, he allegedly proceeded to kick and punch her.<br />
Moments later, according to witness accounts, Traylor entered the home to get the keys to the car parked in the driveway, got behind the wheel and ran over Petrowski’s body about four times, according to <a class="class" href="https://www.fox13memphis.com/top-stories/man-repeatedly-ran-over-girlfriend-with-car-hit-her-with-brick-outside-memphis-home-witnesses-say/849147760" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Fox 13 Memphis.</a></div>

<div>Witnesses told FOX13 they saw the whole incident unfold before their eyes Sunday night in front of the victim’s home.</div>

<p>“I witnessed a murder,” said neighbor Jay Smoot. “It’s pretty, pretty overwhelming.”<br />
Witnesses said shortly after 9 p.m. they heard what turned out to be the deadly confrontation between the victim and her boyfriend, Traylor – who is her child’s father.<br />
They also saw Traylor using a brick to hit the Petrowski in the head.<br />
“She was standing when he first hit her and then she fell down and he repeatedly was hitting her with the brick, hitting her with the brick,” one neighbor said.<br />
“Kicking, punching her he was trying to make sure she was dead.”<br />
Moments later, witnesses said Traylor went into the home and got keys to a car in the driveway.<br />
That’s when they said he repeatedly “ran her over.”</p>

According to a police affidavit cited by the station <a class="class" href="https://wreg.com/2018/10/08/domestic-violence-survivors-shocked-emotional-to-hear-about-dv-homicide/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">WREG</a>, Traylor was charged with criminal trespassing and domestic assault a month ago after he showed up at his girlfriend’s residence threatening to ‘beat her brains in’ and to put one of their children ‘through the wall.’<br />
The document also states that Traylor called Petrowski 200 times in just one day.<br />
His criminal record also includes counts of domestic assault causing bodily harm stemming from two separate incidents that took place in May and June 2015. He is being held in the Shelby County Jail.</p>
