<p class="mol-para-with-font">An Alabama woman accused of kidnapping her husband&#8217;s lover nearly derailed her trial by sending explicit messages to a teenage boy that were revealed on the seventh day of her trial.<br />
46-year-old Tammy Moorer, from South Carolina, sent sexual texts to the 18-year-old saying she was &#8216;fantasizing&#8217; about him.<br />
The text messages read in court nearly derailed the trial after her attorney to ask for a mistrial after the sexually-explicit text messages were introduced.<br />
One of the messages read out at Horry County Court read: &#8216;I want you Caleb. You don&#8217;t even know. I want to f**k the hell out of you.&#8217;<br />
The sexting stopped after the boy’s mother discovered the messages and contacted Moorer.<br />
Moorer’s lawyers objected to Lynch’s testimony several times and motioned for a mistrial, which the judge denied.<br />
“This is the most blush-worthy language I’ve ever experienced,” attorney Greg McCollum told the judge, <a href="https://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/news/local/article220101140.html">according to Myrtle Beach Online</a>.<br />
Phone records showed that Moorer appeared to threaten Elvis numerous times in since-deleted text messages sent weeks before the 20-year-old vanished.<br />
“Someone’s about to get their a– beat down,” a text to Elvis said.</p>

The explicit texts were revealed Tuesday, the eighth day of Moorer&#8217;s trial, during testimony from North Myrtle Beach Police investigator Will Lynch.<br />

<p class="mol-para-with-font">He analyzed the Moorer family&#8217;s phone activity in the weeks before Elvis disappeared, the New York Post <a class="class" href="https://nypost.com/2018/10/16/wifes-sexts-to-teen-nearly-derail-trial-over-kidnapping-of-husbands-lover/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">report</a>.<br />
Moorer’s lawyers objected to Lynch’s testimony and motioned for a mistrial, which the judge denied.<br />
They argued that the explicit messages were not relevant to the case and were an attempt to discredit her character, which hasn&#8217;t been introduced as evidence.<br />
Lynch claimed the sexting with the teen began after Moorer found out that her husband was having an affair then confiscated his phone, using it to send messages.<br />
She also researched &#8216;cougar life&#8217; on the internet, Lynch told the court.<br />
He said the messaging stopped after the teenager&#8217;s mother found the messages and confronted Moorer.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Prosecutors argue that Moorer kidnapped Elvis in a jealous rage after finding out about her husband&#8217;s month-long affair.<br />
Phone records show she had threatened Elvis shortly before her disappearance, with one text message saying: &#8216;Someone&#8217;s about to get their a** beat down&#8217;.<br />
She also allegedly forced her husband to get her own name tattooed above his crotch as punishment for cheating.<br />
But Moorer&#8217;s defense team claim she and her husband had an open marriage and she knew he was having sex with Elvis.<br />
Referring to the sex texts, her attorney Greg McCollum reportedly told the judge: &#8216;This is the most blush-worthy language I&#8217;ve ever experienced.&#8217;<br />
The court previously heard evidence from Dennis Hart, a former kitchen manager at the Tilted Kilt where Elvis worked as a hostess.<br />
He claimed Moorer demanded that he fire Elvis, which he refused to do, and had accused her of spreading rumors that she was pregnant with her husband&#8217;s baby.<br />
Sidney was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2017 for obstruction of justice after prosecutors said he lied about his contact with Elvis the day she disappeared.</p>
