<p class="mol-para-with-font">Quick-thinking parents were able to stop a registered sex offender from kidnapping two small children in California on Monday.<br />

<div>When his efforts were unsuccessful he allegedly picked up a four-year-old boy and tried to flee the park with the child, according to police.<br />
But the children&#8217;s parents caught Dewitt in the act, chased him down and wrestled the child from his grasp.<br />
One relative of the child was seen trying to overpower Dewitt to get the child.<br />

Then other witnesses and family members joined in and held Dewitt down and called police, cops said.<br />
Video footage of the shocking arrest shows Dewitt on the ground on his stomach waiting until police arrived to arrest him.</div>

None of the children were hurt in the incident.<br />
Dewitt is booked on kidnapping charges and held in lieu of $1million bail.<br />
