<p class="mol-para-with-font">An Iowa fire chief has been charged with arson after the GPS in his truck put him at the scene of two blazes in Johnson County.<br />
Authorities say Oxford Assistant Fire Chief Timothy Hora, 30, is responsible for at least seven field fires in the area over the past month. He is now facing five counts of arson and public intoxication.<br />
The first fire allegedly started by Hora was reported at around 8.40pm on March 27 in the town of Tiffin, according to a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<br />

<p>Two weeks later on April 13, a sheriff&#8217;s deputy came across three fires in a rural area about a mile north of Oxford.<br />
The deputy allegedly saw Hora stomping out flames of one of the fires near a parked pickup truck.<br />
He was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, and a butane torch was recovered from the back of his truck.<br />
The following day, Hora told investigators he had been patrolling the area for an arsonist when he found the fires, according to a report.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Two more fires were reported this past Sunday at around 10.45pm in southwest Oxford. Investigators traced Hora&#8217;s GPS and learned that his vehicle was near the fires that night.<br />
The emergency responder is now facing five counts of third-degree arson for the fires on April 13 and April 21. None of the fires resulted in injuries or property damage.<br />
