<p class="mol-para-with-font">Shannon Griffin, 49, of Oak Lawn, a teacher at Jordan Baptist School in southwest suburban Burbank who is married to Pastor Thomas Griffin has been accused of performing sex acts on a student and soliciting child pornography from another.<br />
She was arrested on Monday following a month-long investigation, and was booked into jail on five counts of criminal sexual assault, one count of soliciting child pornography, one count of distribution of harmful materials and one count of grooming.<br />
The Cook County sheriff&#8217;s office alleges Griffin &#8216;engaged in sexual conduct&#8217; with a boy enrolled at the school.<br />
Griffin who is also charged with sending naked pictures and videos of herself to that boy and another boy at the school, allegedly requested they send her images of themselves.<span class="mol-style-bold"> </span></p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Illinois Department of Children and Family Services spokesman Jassen Strokosch says the agency also is investigating &#8216;multiple allegations of abuse&#8217; involving Griffin and students.<br />
Jordan Baptist School&#8217;s website lists &#8216;Mrs. Shannon Griffin&#8217; as a kindergarten teacher. She is said to be a mother of three.<br />
Mike Mollo, whose two children until recently had attended the school, and whose family belonged to Pastor Griffin&#8217;s congregation, told <a class="class" href="https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2019/07/02/teacher-sexual-assault-shannon-griffin-burbank/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CBS Chicago</a> his son came to him saying that pornographic photos and videos of the kindergarten children began circulating among the students.<br />
&#8216;The second I saw that video, the very next day, I pulled my kids out at school, and we stopped going to church there immediately,&#8217; he said.</p>
