Danielle Reno spent two days tracking thief who stole her truck and wallet by monitoring stolen purchases on her credit card
The Toyota 4Runner was stolen from a gas station near her home in Clay County, Missouri, as she was inside with her daughter
Reno filed a police report but then decided to take matters in her own hands
The determined amateur sleuth spent 48 hours on the tail of the carjackers, trying to find out where they were headed
Reno tracked debit card transactions and finally caught a break when a gas station attendant told her the thieves said they were headed to a local Applebee’s restaurant to eat
When she arrived at the Applebee’s, the thieves walked in so Reno snuck outside and filmed herself stealing her Toyota 4Runner right back before calling the cops
She also recorded the police arresting the two thieves and sharing it online

A Missouri woman whose car was stolen took it upon herself to track down the suspects and filmed herself stealing her vehicle right back.
“I got out of my car, grabbed my daughter, and my car was gone,” Reno said.
The non-stop hunt for her car started at a QuickTrip gas station close to her house.
“We stalked this lady for 48 hours. She had no idea what we were doing,” Reno said.
It was a full investigation for Reno. She filed a police report for her missing 4Runner, then took things into her own hands.

Reno finally caught a break when a gas station attendant said the thieves told him they were going to a local Applebee’s to eat.
‘We stalked this lady for 48 hours. She had no idea what we were doing,’ Reno said.
But even she wasn’t prepared for the robber to walk right through the door so quickly.
‘We got our waters and she walked in the door. I about had a heart attack,’ Reno told KCTV.

In the video, Reno can be heard saying: ‘Oh my gosh, before I call the cops, I wanted to show you all what we just found, by doing our own stalking. At Applebee’s, my heart’s racing.’

Reno then recorded the awful state her car had been left in, with booze bottles littering the rear and a foul stench embedded into the seats.
‘Look at my back seat. Beer in my back seat,’ Reno said on the video. ‘There’s stuff on the car seat. There’s stuff on the seat. It’s just gross,’ she added.
Reno said she can no longer use the car as it was in such a bad state.
