<p>Kamiyah Street, a junior at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, was arrested for her alleged role in the case of a man found shot to death in an Atlanta apartment complex earlier this year.<br />
Street, the starting point guard for Kennesaw State University’s women’s basketball team has been charged with felony murder in the death of Nashiem Hubbard-Etienne, <a href="https://www.ajc.com/news/crime--law/breaking-ksu-women-basketball-player-arrested-murder-charges/WR8aRO7P50bQpu2Xl4yEZL/#" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported</a> Saturday.<br />
She now joins four others charged with shooting to death Nashiem Hubbard-Etienne, also 21, an up and coming businessman whose body was found around 1.44am on July 16.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The sportswoman of Kennesaw State in Georgia is now charged alongside Cortez Banks, Johnerton Gilstrap, and Tobias Wells, who are all in custody, plus one more suspect, Dontavious Bradley, who is not in custody.<br />
A friend who was with the victim at the time of the fatal shooting said three men started shooting at them as they emerged from car, but it is unclear what role Street may have played in the murder.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Her son <span style="color: var(--color-text);">Nashiem Hubbard-Etienne, </span>had moved to the state to stay with his father as he attended Georgia State University. &#8216;He has a huge heart for children and a huge heart for the misguided,&#8217; the distraught mother said.<br />
&#8216;My son was not who they were after, but like most situations, the innocent one always catches the bullet.&#8217;</p>

<p>He was discovered shot to death in a parking lot at the Hermitage Station apartments, in Atlanta authorities said on Saturday.<br />
Atlanta Police at the time said it is apparent that Hubbard-Etienne was “the victim of a targeted shooting.”<br />

Street was arrested Thursday and booked into the Fulton County jail on eight counts, including murder, three counts of felony murder, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.<br />
She is due to be arraigned December 13.<br />
Kennesaw State officials said its women’s basketball team was notified Thursday night of Street’s alleged involvement in the murder.<br />
“The individual has been suspended indefinitely from all women’s basketball team and athletic activities,” the school’s assistant athletic director, David Beal, told the outlet.</p>
